Hello everyone! My name is Jacob. I am a 33 year old, Latin American music producer / songwriter and vocalist born and raised in New York. 


About my background.:::::::

I would say rock music is probably my first love but electronic music was always around growing up and eventually I became heavily enthralled in my search for new and interesting sounds. 

I enjoy mixing my favorite genres to create something new and unique and I heavily appreciate it when people take the time to get to know me a little and listen to my music

I am just trying to explore, have fun, and to create a bit of excitement. I allow myself the freedom to experiment with a variety of different influences. For over a decade, I have been making electronic music on and off but as of the last year or so I decided to spend a lot of time listening to post-hardcore. I also love ambient electronic music as well as some experimental and dark sounds. 

I listen to a lot of screamo and metalcore and I absolutely love Linkin Park, but also film score sounding music such as ‘Origin Story’ by West Dylan Thordson from the Glass (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) and many of the Marvel films of today.

It has been somewhat of a lost fantasy for me to make music for films, but I enjoy making loops for fun and to provide listeners with something they can have on in the background as a soundtrack for their own lives!

Some of the genres I have listed above are what inspire me. I want to allow myself the freedom to expand and utilize my ability to communicate my influences in a way that doesn’t have to always make sense. Even if my tracks do differ from one another, it all comes from the same place of inspiration regardless of whatever genre I am focusing on in the present moment. This comes from a background of listening to anything from latin music to raising myself on rock and electronic in my formative years. 

Absolutely galvanized by what i’d heard as I reached my late 20’s, I often felt that I wanted to contribute to something but could never figure out where I really fit in, and despite my efforts in trying to pursuit my own perspective, it hasn’t always been well received. It baffled me that my own amazement could be so belittled simply at the thought of something not making sense to others but made total sense to me. I don’t think this means that what I have created is utterly senseless, I just think it means people aren’t actively looking at the details such as the refined production / quality of my work. This is something I stand by very clearly.

I recognize that even if one cannot often articulate what the experience means as a listener or one who creates music of a genre they like.. (I myself sometimes have this difficulty)  some communities often will disregard others with that very same passion without giving them a chance. (I sometimes see this in electronic music which I feel people often quietly deny) this can happen in any genre where the roots of everything often come from a similar place in which there is a passion for music at it’s root core and I think it causes people to feel rejected which isn’t really fair.

So if you want to share your music with me or have something to share which you think I might like, you’re more than welcome to do so and I will be willing to give it a chance.
