During my pregnancy, I started a heartwarming tradition of singing "Noble Maiden Fair" from Brave to my baby. This nightly ritual soothes her into a peaceful sleep, and the melody weaves into our shared journey, creating a poignant link to our past. As the musical creation unfolds, it turns into a symphony reflecting my daughter's warm-hearted and lively nature, a harmonious ode to the beautiful facets of our familial connection.

The Songs We Sing Together

For a long time this confused daydream whirled cloudily through his brain. But a trumpet sounded in the distance, the trumpet announcing the arrival of the Bazoches fire-engine galloping up too late. When he heard it he suddenly straightened himself. It seemed like war passing amid clouds of smoke, with it’s horses and cannons and bloodthirsty cries. His heart beat loudly. Well, as he no longer had the heart to till the soil of France, he’d defend it in battle!
He turned to go, but looked for one last time at the two bare earth-mounds of the graves, and then beyond them to the endless plough-lands of La Beauce, filled with the unceasing gesture of sowing. Death and the sowing of seeds: and the life of bread growing up out of the earth.

Album review - > "listen to the The Jazz Readers for a laidback stroll through decades of boogaloo, psychedelic jazz-rock, funk and ambient chill-out. Lindsay drops the names of Boogaloo Joe Jones, Johnny Smith and Barney Kessel into the sleeve notes; to that, I'd also add shades of Ry Cooder on the cinematic Orbiting The Giant Hairball. You could file this under "lounge", but there's much more to it than that, particularly on a gutsy fusion track like Larry's Party. As AAW shifts through a unique texturing of chill-out beats, East European strings, electric guitar harmonics and acoustic guitar solo, the open vistas of world, classical, jazz and trip hop exist within a breath of each other. Roll on, volume two. "

He has collaborated with a wide range of classical musicians, including the Scottish Ensemble, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, BRNO Philharmonic Orchestra and the Moscow Ensemble. He is also in demand as a producer, writer and arranger.
