Guitarist from Manchester. Been playing for most of my life and have been writing my own music for a few years now but never really done anything with it. It’s just a hobby for me really but anything I put on here will be my own stuff. I can play a bit of bass and I wouldn’t consider myself a singer but I’m trying to develop some confidence in that area. Love a bit of blues guitar, especially Clapton and Bonamassa, inspired by bands like Free, Bad Company, Whitesnake, Metallica, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith and a whole variety of other bands. I’m a sucker for a great vocal and so my musical taste covers a whole host of music, not just rock. Really interested to get peoples take on my music and see what feedback I get but also looking forward to hearing what great, original music is out there too!

Solo project using GarageBand on an iPhone 6 plus. 

I use a Schecter Electric Guitar with an iRig mobile, and a pair of iPhone stock headphones to record vocals.  Some tracks use an acoustic guitar miked with the iPhone headphones.  Many tracks are recorded in a pickup truck.  I have used hand tools as percussion instruments and I have been known to record vocals while driving. 

For the most part these are recorded in one take per instrument - lyrics are only written down AFTER the song is "done".  The lyrics are fantastical and improvised, often recorded in a car.  This is rock and roll fantasy escapism for me. 

I used to play drums in several bands but have always messed around with any instrument I can get my hands on.  No formal training in any of this.

So enjoy! Don't take them too seriously, and use your imagination!

We write songs about mental illness and the horrors of end-stage capitalism couched vaguely behind metaphors culled from childish conceptions of being haunted and/or allusions to obscure passages from classic literature or cultural mythologies. Our music has zero commercial viability, but it is a labor of love and necessity. It is also an outlet for thoughts best not kept inside, but that should probably be whispered rather than shouted.

The sound should be that of engaging in a small, jarring, but well-intentioned conversation on the subject of the various things that can eat you alive from the bottom-most link of the top of the food chain. 

We should sound like two introverts on the verge of killing themselves but who made a handful of quiet, desperate songs instead (and if only for now). The listener should suspect there used to be a drummer and a guitarist but those two jumped from the building rather than burning alive inside it. 

Most music written for two basses and two voices, but found objects are rarely excluded.
