Moved to Philadelphia in June of 1998.Started Schooling for Marketing and ended up in Fashion Buying for High-End Boutiques.But has always had a love for House Music and the Nightclub seen.So after about 6 months of living in Philadelphia as assistant manager and mens wear buyer for a boutieque I was spending all my money on fashions so I needed to get a second job.So went with some friends out to a club called the 2-4 Club.The club was there for many years but some new owners bought it and was trying to get it u and running.Loved the club but it was to empty.So I approached who I thought was just another employee....low and behold it was one of the new owners.We talked for a while and he took me to the office and asked if I would like a part time position doing the door and guest list. So I said yes and within 2 months i had quit my boutique job and was at this club full time.Started out as the guest list doll, and within 3 months was n the promotion team.Well they ended up buying more and more clubs.From Gay to straight nightclubs. So between 2 of us we were the owners promotion staff.We opened 2-4 club,then Transit,Gasoline,Pure,Bump Luxe Lounge, and woody own anys.I had taken a much needed year off and moved to Palm Beach Florida. Then moved back to Philadelphia.But not wanting to get back into the grind of promotions... The owner and I were trying to figure out who was going t be the third floor dj on Thursdays being there was no budget.So he suggested that him and I dj.I responded we don't know how,and we don't own any records(that's when they used vinyl) and he said well lets go buy some so we did.We decided to tag-team..lol he spun Hip-Hop and I spun electro. We called our self train-wreck. and the people really liked it.Well we had such a response that within like 6 weeks i go in and get ready to set up and he said oh you are in the fur lounge by yourself. I was like no the hell i am not, and he said you have to we cant fit all the people in here s we need to pen another floor for that night. For the first 3 weeks I kept a curtain over the dj both so no one would see me and read me for such bad mixes.Well after time got better and better that now i was in the rotation for the main floor on Fri nights and Saturdays in the fur lounge.I had regular gigs now every Monday night, Tuesday night.,Thursdays,Fridays,and Saturday opened for the starkillers and Alex Lauterstein,and many more.
