"Blanco Sombra" is Syd dePalma's debut on Rotten City. An EP where love, hate, and fear converge at a single point. Featuring two original tracks, "Puerto Leone" and "Cuerpo, Sombra y Espalda," the Spanish producer, musician, and vocalist has delved into the darkness to extract every color, finding a wonderful balance between various elements such as light and darkness, with classic and new methods of composition and production. The result is a fluctuating blend of new wave, psychedelia, and post-pop, creating a sonic space comparable to
the feeling of nightfall, where one cannot distinguish between their strengths and weaknesses, yet still feels comfortable in the ebb and flow of sensations between good and evil.
On the other hand, Delone, fascinated by the vibes of "The Knife" or "Fever Ray" in "Puerto Leone", has transformed the vocals from the original track into an abstract wall of sound that drives the remix as a backdrop. It is 100% focused on the club scene, yet avoids the typical 4x4 beat to transcend genres on this amazing journey of breaks and epic chords.

Victor has been clubbing since the early 90s and DJing professionally since 1996, playing in most clubs and raves in his native Brazil, contributing and spreading the electronic music culture locally in a time where access to music, records and information were very scarce.

Producing and releasing music for different labels under the name ROTCIV since 2005 he launches Mister Mistery, a label focused on Acid, Disco, House, Electro and Edits with classic influences from 80s and 90s with a truly contemporary edge and unique sound. 

In 2010 moves to Berlin where he is frequently DJing at the most exciting clubs and parties - From Berghain's all different floors (Panorama Bar, Lab.oratory, Säule and Kantine) to being a regular in the coolest parties such as Cocktail D' Amore, Renate, Else, About Blank, Pornceptual, Katerblau, Buttons, Sisyphos, Schwuz, Ipse and many more, Victor is a staple in the Berliner underground and queer scene for many years with his dynamic and carefully selected sound. 

ROTCIV currently releases original tracks, edits and remixes on labels like: Ombra International, Polari Records, Freeride Millenium, Luv Shack, Live At Robert Johnson, Permanent Vacation, Gop Tun, Unterton (Ostgut Ton), Full Pupp, his own Mister Mistery and many more!

As Klasse Wrecks enters the second chapter of our century of releases, we're happy to welcome the sounds and skills of Nicola Cruz to the roster. 

The Ecuadorian producer masterfully turns in a perfectly tuned handful of tracks for his 'Data Passenger' EP, the overiding soundscape being one of Electro, Breaks and infiniteless cosmic exploration.

Hot on the heels of his latest EP “Kaleidoscope”, on Echocentric Records, Baby Rollén steps up for guest mix duties. The mix itself is a full length recording of his set at the release party at Bürro in Mainz, a wonderful showcase of his skills how to build and maintain energy throughout the night.

Leo’s also behind the superb Slump Recordings imprint which has released music by the likes of Gallegos, Duowe, mpeg and as of July 19th, High Priestess of the motherbeat, Eris Drew. As a DJ Baby Rollén’s been in the booth at established events such as Panorama Bar, Corsica Studios, Lux Fragil, The Cause, Gottwood Festival, Sisyphos, Kala, Night Tales & Badaboum to name just a few.

Radial Gaze and Geopard Tourist present Cactus Chronicles, a captivating EP on the Epicure Records label.

The first track, also titled "Cactus Chronicles," blends hypnotic sounds with danceable rhythms, creating an immersive and magnetic atmosphere. Its mesmerizing groove and deep textures make it a true gem of the project.

The second track, "Kamino," composed solely by Geopard Tourist, captures the essence of the Hungarian duo. Hypnotic vocals and punchy basslines intertwine to create a rich and intoxicating atmosphere, perfectly crafted from start to finish.

The EP is further elevated by a series of fascinating remixes. Neskeh reimagines Cactus Chronicles with his signature psychedelic touch, enriching the track with unique bass and percussion elements. Meanwhile, Leonor and Prinze focus on Kamino: Leonor delivers an energetic Trance version, while Prinze offers a smoother, more rhythmic interpretation, enhanced by ethereal pads that add an enchanting lightness.

Released on Epicure Records, this EP shines through its sonic diversity and the creativity of its remixes, which beautifully complement the original tracks.

Following the success of last year’s critically acclaimed album Puzzles, which these past months received standout remixes from Justin Strauss and Kasper Bjørke himself, the next reimagining is here. 

This time, it’s from none other than Berlin underground luminary Johannes Albert, a driving force in the contemporary house and Italo disco scene.

Albert’s remix of Conversations featuring Icelandic trio Sísý Ey (also known as Systur) showcases the finesse of an experienced producer. 

He masterfully preserves the emotional weight of the track’s strong vocal melody while reimagining it with a Cologne-inspired blend of house and techno melancholy. The result is a late-night and early-morning anthem, primed for dancefloor transcendence.
Albert revealed that during an early test run of the remix in a club setting, the reaction among the crowd was unmistakable: lighters held high on the dancefloor, a signal that he was on to something special.

Dj Carroum, based in Leipzig since 2017, is a member and co-founder of Kollektiv PVC. Shaped by Leipzig’s underground techno scene and his early focus on deep hypnotic sounds under the alias morrek, his musical understanding continues to reflect these roots. Today, however, his sets are driven by a passion for rolling rhythms, layered with electrifying synths and basslines that blend the vibes of old and new Goa, Psy, and Proggresive sounds. Sometimes more housy, sometimes more trancy - always bouncy!

This podcast takes listeners on a 1.5-hour journey through diverse musical styles and eras. It starts with a slow, breaky intro, gradually building into fast-paced, rolling rhythms and dark, rumbling beats, occasionally softened by light, playful synth melodies. The result is a trippy, hypnotic soundscape, spiked with a pinch of acid, where some might hear hints of alien sounds, robotic machines, or even psychedelic swamp raves. 👽🤖🐸
