John Maxwell teaches Screenwriting and Digital Writing at Liverpool John Moores University, looking after writers and knocking together plans for world domination from his post-pandemic potting shed in West Derby. 

Among these plans is a spy/crime novel CAMPER VAN WOMAN based upon his erstwhile adventures in Eastern Europe and 1980s Toxteth, plus an animated adaptation of his cyberpunk skit LONDONOPOLIS, written under the pen name Carroll Grabham.

 John has produced or directed 16 short films and 6 feature films since 1998, acclaimed at such festivals as Karlovy Vary, Rome, BFI London Film Festival and commercially distributed, including network broadcasts on BBC Television. 

Michael J. Hollows was born in London in 1986, and moved to Liverpool in 2010 to lecture in Audio Engineering. With a keen interest in history, music, and science, he has told stories since he was little. His latest historical fiction novel The German Nurse is an Amazon besteller, and Goodbye for Now, published in Oct 2018, was his first novel, which he wrote as part of his MA in Writing from Liverpool John Moores University, graduating in 2015. Michael has also written for Black Library, Cubicle 7 and other games companies. He is currently researching towards a PhD in Creative Writing, working on his next novel.
