"Spiritwalker", from Haitian-American singer-songwriter Malou Beauvoir, is a call. It encourages us: to rise up against the forces that work to polarize and drive us apart, to awaken to our spiritual ancestry, and to draw on that ancestry for guidance, support and inspiration.
The album's first single  “Rasenbleman,” is an homage to the Vaudou spirits and to the Haitian culture. 
With renowned Haitian singer-songwriter Paul Beaubrun joining Malou on vocals and guitar, the song is transformed into an up-tempo, impassioned battle cry for all disinherited peoples to unite and bring about awareness and change.

Made in honor of the lwa Papa Ogou Sen Jak also known as Ogou Balendjo, a central figure in Haitian and Dominican Vodou tradition, this collection of tracks further expresses Ezel's vision of utilizing his art as a creative vessel to carry the dancer's mind and soul towards the realm of Spirit. 

Things start off with 'Sen Jak' featuring the vocals of influential Haitian singer James Germain. Known for giving voice to some of the most beautiful modern day renditions of classic Vodou songs, he was a perfect fit for this project. Him and Ezel managed to create this dance floor gem that depart from Ezel's signature afro tech sound into a new realm in which troubadour sounds and instruments like the accordion and the saxophone helped convey a folksy vibe that reminisces the Caribbean islands. 

Next is 'Awoshenago', a carnivalesque instrumental jam where a main central melody line is brought forward by several instruments creating a rising tide of sonic goodness. After that is 'Papa Loko' a popular song within Vodou, here re-imagined in a very soulful rendition with help from Haitian singer Christina Laguerre. 

Finally there is 'Ogou Priye', an acoustic song that came to be as the opening prayer/improvisation by James and Ezel as they prepared to start working on 'Sen Jak', praying to Papa Ogou to oversee and become present in the studio session. Although not oriented to a dance floor setting, Ezel wanted to include it as he feels it represents the essence of what was sought with the creation of this EP: a sense of connection and understanding of the higher truth that permeates our art, departing from us to the discerned listener/dancer worldwide.

The second single from SPIRITWALKER, “KOUZEN,”is an homage to the Vaudou spirit KOUZEN ZAKA and to Malou Beauvoir’s Haitian culture. 
Kouzen is the powerful, yet down to earth, Haitian spirit  (LWA) of the land. He represents the humble yet hardworking peasant who transforms his land into wealth and as such is the spirit of money and riches. Rearranged with modern hip hop instrumentation and  an off beat raucous rap,  singing praises to KOUZEN ZAKA, the inspiring arrangement lends the song a sensuous reggae vibe.
KOUZEN is originally a popular Haitian folk song.
