The meandering poly-rhythmic pad and chord progression, moves seamlessly in between the intelligent percussion. They cling to the deep rumbling bass tones which hold up the subtle, yet intricate structure of the Beaten Root. The rigorous selection process which Saxon undertook to finally compiling this album, has brought plenty of pleasure and bass aches to his ears. Though now, he is even more honored to be so privileged, as to release the 'Foundations' EP on the exciting new collective label, Shanti Planti.

Back to Back Volume Four, compiled and performed by And.id and B.A.N.D., continues this evolution with a two-disc extravaganza that is unlike anything you've ever heard before. While Disc 1 compiles highlights from mobilee's discography over the past year, Disc 2 consists of jazz interpretations of classic mobilee tracks, all of which have been painstakingly recorded, arranged, and re-edited by And.id. These refreshing takes on some of mobilee's best tracks over the years were recorded during live studio sessions with jazz musicians, whose use of real instruments in performing mobilee tracks—not to mention And.id mixing and arranging—breathes new life into these time-tested anthems.

Alongside this compilation release, And.id has also produced an exclusive live mix featuring his recent and also unreleased productions and edits. This exclusive mix is a perfect presentation of his live show which he is performing in clubs all around the world and it is only available to purchasers of the release via a free digital download code that comes with the CD.

Cuthead got known to the wider public via his releases on Uncanny Valley but his roots reach way back before the label’s start. There was a time when Cuthead and his brothers from another mother threw wild parties at abandoned industrial locations or in the woods around Dresden. The crew, which was known as Kunst:stoff Breakz, also established a label where Cuthead released two albums and one EP as free downloads between 2006 and 2010. Over the years the calls for vinyl versions of those early joints were getting louder and so Uncanny Valley decided to give the best tracks from that era a new life on physical sound carriers and start the “Total Sellout”.
Through refinement and rearrangement 51 tracks were boiled down to a selection of 18 and ended up as an album full of catchy bass lines, heavy beats and sampling excesses. Among the tracks are party starters like the strings-infiltrated “Scissorhands”, “The Poncho” or the ever devastating “Iron Lung” which still kicks like Dubstep has never faded. Since Cuthead has always been heavily influenced by Rap music, there are of course lots of great Hip Hop beats on “Total Sellout”. Either in the form of funky sample studies like “Painquilizer” and “VibraSkit” or in true fashion with Raps by crew member Alibi on “Hidden Track”. Also included on the album are “Rock My Soul” and “All Night Long”, some early examples of Cuthead’s knack for well tempered and super catchy House tracks, while the double-bass driven “Rythmus ́78” shows another jazzy side of him.
Once again, the artwork was conceived and designed by Till Hohmann who already did a brilliant job on last year’s “Everlasting Sunday”.

For a long time the instrumental had no hook, until one night I started cutting up old 80's records and found the perfect fit. When Featurecast & The Gaff got a chance to play together recently, it didn't take long to get to talking about their mutual love for Stevie Wonder's "Hey Love" and how the world needed an edit of it, and just like that, a few sleepless nights, some dusty records and a little bit of finesse: "Ain't Got Time" was born! The ultimate Marvin Gaye meets Stevie Wonder track that never existed......So why did a collabo between these two legends never happen? They both recorded for Motown at the same time and were fans of each other!....Here's a little history lesson: 
 "Too busy thinkin bout my baby" was written by the Motown team of Whitfield, Strong, and Bradford in 1965, and first recorded by The Temptations a year later.
Marvin's cover of the tune came out a few years later, and was his 2nd biggest hit of the 60's, right after "Heard It Through The Grapevine" in 1969 at the age of 30...Curious who was in Marvin's heart as he was singin this? If You do the math, it's none other than Tammi Terrel, who he fell deeply in love with as they began working on their tracks ("ain't no mountain high enough) around the same time....Unfortunately, Tammi wasn't into Marvin in that way! She was much younger, early 20's, and apparently favored "darker men", Marvin was a light skinned brother, and perhaps wasn't what caught her eye? Well, that's the breaks, Tammi put on a good show for sure...
Now, Marvin Gaye was 11 years older than Stevie Wonder, who, at the time, was about to breakthrough to his hugely successful crossover lp's at only 19 with "Signed Sealed Delivered"! 
Stevie Wonder's "Hey Love" had come out on his album "Down TO Earth" in '66, at only 16, and a dope version was covered later by SoulSister Bettye Lavette, You should check it! Not many know about that cover :-)
So, there was a big age gap, with marvin bringout out songs of soulful love in his 30's, and Stevie bringin the Funk in his 20's!!!
in 1991, almost 25 years after it was released, De La Soul would flip "Hey Love" into "Talkin bout Hey Love" where it was brought back all over again for a new generation of Hip Hop heads around the world (a young skateboarding gaffer and a LIl Featurecast being 2 of them :-) 
25 years after that, we added in the horns from an early Serge Gainsbourg record so this tune would appeal to fans of De La Soul, be enjoyed by Motown lovers, and any fans of DJ's with dope cuts.....Sampled the OG records to provide the instrumental parts used...
We kept this mix so classic, for old and young alike, even your grandma can still appreciate it, nod her head to the fatback drums, dope cuts and scratches....we hope this version makes its rounds for a long time to come, giving you the Marvin & Stevie collaberation that you always wished for.......cheers!
