1) T'es qui mec ?

Hello ! Je m'appelle Younes, je joue sous le nom de Neskeh et je
viens de Montpellier.
J'ai posé mes valises a Lyon il y a 5 ans maintenant. Je fais partie du crew lyonnais Hard Fist et bosse sur la résidence du label du même nom au Terminal Club.

2) Des projets en cours ? (EP, label…)

Au niveau des projets en cours, il y a le Label Hard Fist qui
vient de release en toute fin 2019 le deuxième volet des compilations Princes Of Abzu ( 7ème sortie vinyle ) et une compilation digitale vraiment barrée qui arrive soon soon...
Sinon depuis le confinement, je me suis mis plus sérieusement a produire, de quoi utiliser tout ce temps à bon escient !
Je n'ai pas vraiment de date prévue vu le contexte mais on espère que tout va rentrer dans l'ordre incessamment sous peu.

3) Quelles sont tes influences dans la région (artistes, label, asso…) ?

Je pense que la majorité de mes influences viennent du crew lui-même : Warum, Tushen Raï, Midnight et Cornelius Doctor. On est sans cesse en train de partager nos découvertes, je trouve ça super important et enrichissant.
Au niveau des DJs lyonnais , dernièrement j'ai eu la chance de tomber par hasard sur Neo Désir au Terminal qui m'a vraiment bluffé.
Il y a aussi la vibe indus Low Tempo de Gil Barte et de son excellent label Kump qui a un coté très envoûtant.
Si on élargit un peu le spectre, Worst Records fait un travail remarquable et l'équipe de Spiral Dance a toujours une prog' très aiguisée.

4) Un lieu à recommander aux chineurs locaux en quête de bon son/de bonnes soirées ?

Le Terminal évidemment ! Le Lavoir Public est à faire pour ceux qui n'y sont jamais allés (vite vite il ne vous reste plus que quelques mois !) et je vais finir par le Sucre qui a, pour ma part, la meilleure programmation et un très bon sound system.

5) Comment la scène locale pourrait s'améliorer selon toi ?

Je pense que la scène locale n'a rien à envier a d'autres scènes en France. Tous les crews de manière générale s'entendent bien et je pense que chacun fait en sorte d'apporter sa pierre a l’édifice pour monter un projet commun de partage de la musique électronique lyonnaise globalisée.
Peu de villes ont la chance d'avoir une telle harmonie et autant de propositions de qualité.
C'est d'ailleurs une des raisons qui m'a motivé à venir dans le 69 il y a quelques années.
La scène locale a un très bel avenir devant elle, soyez-en sûrs !

A new sub-label of the longstanding Canadian electro imprint Suction Records, Ice Machine — focusing on old-school wave/post-punk sounds — is thrilled to present a new, deluxe reissue of “Pow Wow”, the debut 1982 solo LP from Cabaret Voltaire’s Stephen Mallinder. Now expanded to a double-LP, and also released on CD/digital, it’s a definitive reissue which now includes Mallinder’s early solo discography in its entirety. This collection of mutant dub/funk/postpunk sounds just as fresh and contemporary in 2020 as it did in 1982 (note Autechre’s inclusion of standout cut “Del Sol” in a mix earlier this year), and highlights Mallinder’s crucial contributions to Cabaret Voltaire.
“Pow Wow” was commissioned by the Fetish Records label, and recorded at the Cabs’ Western Works studio, where Mallinder would spend his days recording with Cabaret Voltaire, and continue on alone into night recording his debut solo material.  “I slept very little in those days,” he adds, continuing: “ It was done on 8 track and very multi-tracked, so lots of recording, then bouncing, and overdubbing, to get the integrated feel of the tracks. I became very adept at pressing record then jumping onto equipment to play it - it was actually a very 'live' record in that sense. I've always seen rhythm at the core of what I do so I loved the layering of counter rhythms. The sequence/arpeggiator parts were all drum machine triggers that were played live. It was about creating a distinct groove so arrangements came from weaving in and out of those linear grooves. It was fun to play everything from drums, guitars, keys, trumpet, percussion, tapes... and record and produce it all. Prince got it from me!”. 
This new edition of “Pow Wow” contains 14 songs, and is housed in a recreation of the original, iconic Neville Brody jacket, painstakingly recreated using scans of Brody’s original artwork elements. The 2LP vinyl edition (with the direct-order-exclusive BABY-BLUE-VINYL edition limited to 300 copies) is in a reverse board, thick-spine jacket, and adds a 12”x24” folded poster/insert, featuring unused elements from Brody’s original designs, sketches, and instructions for the LP. The CD edition comes in a reverse board, 6-panel digipack.

PREMIERE #1023 | Stephen Mallinder - Del Sol [Ice Machine] 2020

It starts off with Robi Insinna’s version of Your Way by The Lunacy Of Flowers. The Lunacy Of Flowers is a one man post-industrial act from London with a huge body of unreleased material made from fake hallucinations mixed in Black and White.
He used an MS-20, Juno 106, Micro Korg, Epiphone Les Paul Junior, borrowed bass Guitar, SM58 microphone, All Drums Sequenced on FL4 and mixed on a home computer. Robi Insinna added and reworked the original version. The Dub version was done in a real style dub session using an analog mixer and external reverbs, effects and tape delays.
