The second single to be taken from a much anticipated second volume of ‘É Soul Cultura’, curated by Luke Unabomber. The compilation follows on from where Vol.1 left off, at times venturing into the deeper, spiritual, soulful, downtempo, experimental aspects of his tastes. New, old, rare and under-discovered music from around the world, woven together in Luke’s unique style.

Showing Luke’s sweeter side, this beautiful slice of super-rare soul has been on many collector’s wants list for years. It is a sublime cover of Minnie Riperton’s ‘Baby, This Love I Have’ and was recorded very shortly after Minnie’s passing. Avis gathered together some of the finest musicians in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, including the late great bass player Rick Rigsby, and put her unique stamp on a soul classic. 

The double vinyl LP comes in a gatefold sleeve, Obi strip, and includes a limited edition fanzine written by Luke. Also available on CD and digital.

A selection of tunes mixed into a soundtrack for the opening night of the exhibition "Life Line" by Jonathan Cooper which took place on 1st September 2023 at Williamson Art Gallery, Birkenhead.

Mix includes artists such as Hania Rani, Chip Wickham, Sven van Hees, Brian Eno, John Beltran, Greg Foat, Azymuth, The Beneficiaries, Cerrone, Vernal Equinox and much more, capturing the mood and atmosphere of the wonderful photography on display.

Life Line exhibits two photography series set along the West Kirby waterfront. Employing magical realism and unique printing techniques, Cooper’s photographs place their inhabitants in a dreamlike world.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Jonathan Cooper studied Photography at Withens Lane College in Wallasey, where his tutors included the renowned street photographer Tom Wood. Having previously worked in London and Australia, Cooper is now based in Wirral.
