Rich Eardley is the bass player with Melys - former John Peel favourites having recorded 12 sessions for the late Dj and had a festive 50 number 1 on his show in 2001.

We are Die Hard Habits, a post-punk band based in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas. Our music is a product of our independent spirit and a desire to challenge the norms. Drawing inspiration from the pioneers of post-punk while infusing our own restless creativity, we create a sound defined by angular guitar riffs, pulsating basslines, and propulsive rhythms that convey a sense of urgency. In our live performances, we aim to captivate audiences with our raw energy and a genuine connection to our music. Our lyrics delve into themes of societal disillusionment and personal struggles, aiming to provoke introspection and reflection. Dexoflex is an international group of musicians, engineers, and videographers headed by Dex Graham. We collaborate on projects and compositions that span rock, pop, jazz, lo-fi, alternative, and soundtracks.

  Most of the recording is done in the US. But have worked with musicians, songwriters, singers, engineers, producers, and videographers from the US, Spain, Sri Lanka, Canada, UK, South Africa, Poland, and Nigeria. Looking forward to more exciting collaborations with musicians with something to say and a unique way of making that happen.

In 2002, after 15 years of dedicated musical activity and self taught development, Nick Livesey left the studio and put down his instruments.

It was at this time he discovered a new and all consuming passion, the upland areas of the British Isles. He quickly went from hillwalking to rock climbing and winter mountaineering, later becoming an award winning landscape photographer and author of the book ‘Photographing the Snowdonia Mountains’ pb fotoVUE.

In 2013 he moved to the village of Capel Curig in the heart of Snowdonia National Park and gained the Mountain Leader qualification.

During the lockdowns of 2020, Nick picked up the guitar for the first time in over a decade and, slowly, his old passion for composing music was rekindled.

From his remote cottage studio, Nick, inspired by the remarkable landscapes of Snowdonia, began a project entitled ‘Welshlands’, a series of short pieces -full of pathos and unashamedly romantic- which evoke the beauty of his adopted home.

Moving into 2025, Nick has begun a new project re-recording songs from his back catalogue, of which many were written up to 35 years ago when he was in his teens...

...and, perhaps, some new music should inspiration strike.
