Lithopedion is a Solo project performed live with some cheapish analog toys and a looper pedal, live (no pre-recorded looping). This project has been quite a struggle in my musical growth, challenging my writing process and confidence in performance.  I am a singer songwriter from Detroit, not quite ever discovered in the musical language there  but certainly influenced by its passage. 
I am now residing in Portland, OR. I have a whole new roster of music that is yet to be recorded so stay tuned!

Hi. I'm Rick Klaras.
I'm a musician, composer, songwriter, sound editor, and music teacher. I create bespoke music and sound design for podcasts, marketing initiatives, and my own enjoyment. 

When I'm not tampering with the audible range or decorating the passage of time, I teach guitar lessons. I also dabble in web development. 

I live in Portland, Oregon, with my lovely wife and my two stellar teenage kids,  all of whom are musicians as well. We are the noisy neighbors.
