Ben Böhmer releases third single “Erase” ft. avant-pop songwriter and producer lau.ra providing celestial guest vocals. It’s off his forthcoming sophomore album Begin Again, out September 24th via Anjunadeep. The entrancing, deftly-produced synth-focused track follows euphoric singles “Escalate” ft. JONAH and “Beyond Beliefs;” both of which have garnered nearly 2.5 million streams to date with the latter championed by BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM Chill.

The Berlin-based producer and live act has had a banner year; Böhmer is officially the fastest growing electronic artist in the world on Spotify, his 2019 debut LP Breathing surpassed 50 million streams and his live streamed show for fans from a 3,000 ft. high hot air balloon overlooking Cappadocia’s honeycombed hills via Cercle (Peggy Gou, Disclosure, The Blaze) now has over 14 million views. He has been nominated alongside Beabadoobee and Arlo Parks for Best Live Streamed Act by the AIM awards (2021). 

Begin Again was inspired and written while Böhmer and his fiancé were separated on opposite sides of the globe for nine months due to the global travel ban. The album sees him perfectly portray the longing and uncertainty he and many of us experienced during this time, with new single Erase asking "what does it feel like, to erase everything you had? What does it feel like to fall in love again?"
 
With 28-year old Böhmer’s debut Breathing and a string of other singles and remixes for influential labels Anjunadeep and Future Classic, Böhmer has become German electronic music’s brightest star. He is a mainstay in the flagship electronic playlists and Beatport 100, drawing admirers from across the electronic music spectrum including Stephan Bodzin, Bob Moses and Boris Brejcha who pronounced Böhmer as his ‘Breakthrough Artist of 2020’. Following his Cercle performance via hot air balloon, Böhmer became the first artist to perform a live set for German YouTube and Netflix star, Kliemannsland.

Bio:
Producer and host of Dubmission since 1998, Kerem got his start in radio at a very early age in Istanbul, Turkey. While still a junior in high school in 1993, he started as a DJ and eventually on-air personality at Power FM, one of the country’s first commercial radio stations that played foreign music.
After moving to Pittsburgh in 1995 to attend university, Kerem started at WYEP as an intern in 1997 and started hosting an overnight show on Tuesday nights called Modern Times. He served as assistant music director at the station for a couple of years in the late 90s, and although he now is on-air at the station only during his Dubmission show every late Saturday night, he has remained an active DJ in the Pittsburgh music scene over the last two decades, with a focus on playing mainly vinyl when performing at different venues through the city.
Aside from his endeavors at WYEP, Kerem also serves as the director of the Pittsburgh chapter of Clean Water Action, a national grassroots environmental nonprofit organization, fighting for strong environmental and public health standards as a community organizer.

Blockletter is a Hamilton-based producer, DJ, and live PA artist who explores the outer edges of sonic patterns. Unbound by genre, his sounds reach far and wide, from electro and breakbeats, to ambient and minimal.

"When Brad from Pick a Piper reached out to have me remix a song from their forthcoming album, I was immediately drawn to Dissonant Hearts. The drums blew me away, and Sophia’s vocals were captivating. The theme of the cognitive dissonance surrounding grief and heartbreak hit close to home too.

To put my own spin on it, I stripped things back a bit, leaving some of the brighter melodies behind in favour of darker textures. I added some weight with an aggressive kick/bass groove and fractured breakbeats, then finished it off by warping the vocals to give them a touch of otherworldly character."
