Evasive Records Announces Dynamic New Vinyl Release Featuring David Gtronic and Brizman.

Building on the success of our ongoing vinyl repress series, Evasive Records is thrilled to announce a fresh infusion of music that heralds our return to vinyl in style. We are proud to introduce two exhilarating new collaborative tracks by David Gtronic and Brizman.

David Gtronic, a Colombian-born DJ and producer who relocated to Berlin in 2013, has firmly established himself as a key figure in the realms of house, techno, and minimal. Renowned for his bass-driven, percussive productions, David’s sound is distinguished by its unique organic flourishes. His impressive discography includes releases on esteemed labels:- Vatos Locos, Suara, Monique Musique, Kina Music, and Chelsea Hotel Records. His collaborations with notable artists like Santos, Hector, and Leon have garnered support from techno luminaries such as Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, and Dubfire.

Joining him on this release is Brizman, one of the most coveted underground DJs and producers to emerge from Tel Aviv's vibrant electronic scene. Now based in Berlin, Brizman has made his mark with a prolific collection of minimal house tracks released on top-tier labels including Sci+Tec, Moan, Artereform Recordings, and VDK. Additionally, Brizman has launched his own imprint, Silvi Recordings, further solidifying his industry standing. His distinctive sound continues to captivate audiences, making his collaboration with David Gtronic an exciting addition to the Evasive Records stable.

Recorded in Berlin, this EP showcases the synergy between David Gtronic's minimalistic precision and Brizman's innovative flair. The track "Still So Far Away" encapsulates the essence of Berlin with its sub basslines, acid synths, and hypnotic chords. Meanwhile, "Your Imagination" stands out with its funky guitar bassline and smooth, uplifting groove.

Evasive Records’ own Rob Pearson takes on remix duties for both tracks. For "Still So Far Away," he delivers a serious re-rub, skillfully reimagining the key elements with his unique South London retro Tech House style. On "Your Imagination," Rob delves into his early musical roots to transform GTronic and Brizman’s sublime sounds into a Tech Breaks workout that promises to electrify any warehouse, dance floor, or underground discotheque.

Featherstone returns to Ernest's Way with the “Pivot” EP, offering up six tracks that effortlessly blur the lines between various electronic music genres.
The A-side kicks off with “Pivot” where a driving breakbeat rhythm propels the track forward, enhanced by ethereal vocal cuts and rhythmic bass sequences. “Underneath It All” lightens the mood with swung drums, call and response vocals, and emotive string pads that draw the listener in, before “Moving Towards You” rounds out the first side with weighty basslines and acidic leads.   

On the B-side, “After the Rain” locks into a repetitive rhythm while dreamy synths evolve and lift the energy as the track builds. “Eclipsed” deepens the experience, exploring a moodier and more intense sonic landscape. “Cipher” the final track, leaves the repetitive rhythm behind and delivers leftfield sound design scattered over a spatial broken beat.

For Trushmix 235 we got the Mandel in the mix. The Berlin based record collector, house music digger and DJ. Always on the look out for those special house gems, the records you think you know, but it was a different one. Vibe! 

Here he made a one hour and ten minute mix of pure house, 90's style. Pumping and grooving to give you the good vibe. Mixed together with great ease, and every new record in the mix is a joy!

As Fusion Festival is around the corner and Berliners prepare for their pilgrimage to Lärz, we invite Oskar Linke to take over this month‘s episode of our Podcast series.

Born and raised in Berlin, Oskar Linke has been immersed in the city’s vibrant electronic club culture since the age of 16. Over the years, he has developed a sound shaped by iconic spaces such as Club der Visionäre, Hoppetosse, Heideglühen, and—perhaps most influentially—the record store Bikini Waxx, where he has been a loyal regular since 2014 and discovered countless musical gems.

In the midst of the pandemic, Oskar co-founded the label Cheap Fast Worldwide together with two close friends. Now preparing its fourth release, the label has become a home for divers sounds and collaborations of friends. Oskar’s productions—under his alias Felix—can be found on the first and third release, including the collab: Olli, Oski & EE.

In addition to his work as a producer and DJ, Oskar co-hosts a monthly radio show on THF Radio under the label’s name Cheap Fast Worldwide. Usually joined by his label fellow as Discount DJs, the show serves as a platform for showcasing their taste and inviting talented artists from the scene.
