This Burn was challenging. The rain and mud cancelled one of the moments I was most excited for: Sunrise with the Bubbles & Bass crew. I've loved the vibes from that camp for years, from watching/listening to folks there like @N2Nmusic and David @Hohme, and it was a dream in itself to be chosen to play. I got to see some dope folks earlier in the week, including my homie Goma one afternoon and an all-femme lineup another morning. The energy and love were so high! 

With this one, I wanted to give a little funk, a little soul, a little Latinidad, and a little history (and an homage to Osunlade at the end, who would have also played that Saturday morning.) I felt drawn to record the music that would have inspired the moment. Unforgettable. Thanks so much to StephyV and Lidia Lo (who would've played after me!) for the encouragement!

I am happy to be able to upload the recorded live set from the Sonic Soul Tribe stage this past year at Burning Man!
 
I am forever grateful for Sonic Soul Tribe, I love them to my CORE!
They are family to me. This was my second year to burn with them and I wouldn't have it any other way. 

I am so excited for the future and have so many projects to look forward to! Follow me to keep up with the creative growth!

I hope you enjoy this set, it is my favorite set I have played to date! I have fun mixing up genres, I felt like the desert called for something wonky yet energetic! <3 

Fun side note: I played after Aphrodite and he was so nice when we were trading off, he laughs and says "This is kind of annoying tho" and he pointed over at the Cue for the headphones STUCK on for one of the decks. I couldn't hear the track because one was constantly playing in our ears. This probably would have been a good time to use sync, but I didn't, I try not to because it can get messy with sync sometimes. I just rolled without it and kept going. So much was happening! I also had the controls to the Fire for our stage, so I was multitasking and jumping over some dj obstacles and trying to hit the flames for the best drops, luckily my friend DJ Pamdemonium came and hit the fire for me a couple of times <3 Love her! Check her out too! It was a whole lot of fun! :)

Burning Man 2023 Live Set

Truly grateful to have played a Cheeky Early Sunday Morning Set at the Pachena Bay Music Festival on the traditional territory of the Huu-ay-aht First Nations. This impromptu set took place during the energetic transition of the All Nighters heading to bed and the Early Risers arriving on the beach. The dedicated dancers weren't fazed by the fog & rain as we warmed up the beach and burned off the clouds.
