Hari, Shwe and I met at my studio a year ago and decided we'd jam something. Hari sang Pakkala Nilabadi composed by St Thyagaraja and I played the keys. Shwe was our audience cum recordist cum motivator. We had total fun that day. Audio captured on a single mic in addition to my keyboard's line.

This is the original recording of the song "Sajan Ke Pyar Mein" (2010), composed by Navneeth Sundar, written by Aarthi Santhanam and sung by Amruta Kale. Navneeth Sundar Ensemble band, performed this song LIVE, once again in 2014, for Music Mojo, Kappa TV, which was aired on television.

Manavyala in our Mind, one of our early Carnatic adaptations, became synonymous with our sonic character and theme. Our live version on YouTube that we had played three years ago at my sister's wedding was the first time we had ever performed it. While recording our album IndoSoul we decided to make a studio version of this song as well. There's something about this Thyagaraja krithi in raga Nalinakanthi that continues to fascinate through decades and centuries. Vibrant and positive it can never grow old! Here's our humble tribute to the great composer.
