Polokwane born, Lionayve delivers a stunning & pensive debut on RISE titled ‘Overclock’ that paints a rich tapestry of modern African inspired House music.

‘Mmetho’is a lively and bouncy opening characterized by playful percussion, a simple refrain that is kinetic and joyous.

‘Insurgence’ is a more traditional Afro Tech, a brooding pad sets the mood for this dark and moody cut that's suited for late night sweaty dance floors.

‘Ngimbambile’ is positive and uplifting, as the piano chord progression and the running arp sits underneath a chanted refrain, leaving the listener in a state of suspended bliss.

‘Coy’ closes out the EP with a slow burn, melancholic bomb. Characterized by an ethereal voice, woodwind flourishes and rich sound design.
