Starting his musical journey in the bars and cellars of Vilnius more than 7 years ago, Quaint can now be seen behind the decks of most of the cities' nightlife institutions. 

Primarily known as a house DJ he is not afraid to explore all its sub-genres as well as quirkier and more distant corners of electronic music. As he puts it himself  - "This mix marks an end of one cycle in my creative endeavours and signifies a start of another. If one ritual isn’t enough, five should do just fine. What we have here is a clash of style, cult, and a gentle protest.

@fiverituals is an alter ego of two close friends - Deividas Jaroška and Andrius Grinevskis. Two artists have gathered to play more than an ordinary set of music. The project seeks that every performance would award the audience with a cinematic approach to sounds, rhythms, and colors. They aim to extend musical context into something similar to audio movies. 

It may seem like dark poetry bouncing back and forth, however, some of you will have a good laugh when heard those shots of good old days. What a story to listen to!

#26 and its another favorite of ours, the wicked @clicklounge

Clicklounge is best known for his involvement in the reputable Opium Club, where he is regularly found both behind the decks and in the background curating their wicked lineups.

We've been tuning into his mixes for a long while now and have always been blown away by his ability to craft together such a unique atmosphere regardless of genre. 

For this mix we asked Clicklounge to show the darker, trippier side to his collection and the result is wicked. Hazey mid tempo burners that all come together to create a ceremony we want to be front and centre at.

Obviously, my selection for a gloomy disco and made me grateful that Italo Moderni reached me out to make this mixtape. Synth music has always been a fine baseline for me, can be perky, moody and individual at once or totally the opposite. One thing for sure, I am longing to spice it up with a mixed bundle of emotions. You will find various great new-beat, wave and dark disco from Germany, Italy and Belgium, and end up with some industrial from the US. Well, quite universal. Making Covid-19-references when writing about popular culture can feel tiresome, living in the midst of it but let “Taken From A Fixed Point” by In Fields console you in this age of pandemic. This album pierces through you like sunbeams through the blinders of your quarantine-ridden apartments’ windows.
This isn’t In Fields first appearance on the label. In 2019 the artist released a collaboration with Golden bug and the exiting dynamics of that album resounds in this one. Though a little easier on the disco influences and a turn towards ambient, In Fields’ music is still “tension and release” dance music produced to perfection. In Fields characteristic sound contain contrasting elements where soft airy synth pads meet more frightening sounds dug up from somewhere deep and dark like in “Ghostnights”.
The tracks are dynamic where growing crescendos fast and suddenly fades out and you realize your mind have been focusing on a completely different part of the sound. Underneath those surprising elements sits a skeleton of well-sounding bones keeping the songs together tight and steady.
“Taken From A Fixed Point” is dance music for a dance floor in your head and triggers the muscle memory in quarantinenauts tired of hard lock-down. Though produced in a dark place, this album gives a somewhat positive vision of the future and life on the other side.
