ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਕਰੋ 
Sing the Praises of the Lord God.

ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਤ ਪਾਪ ਲਹਾਨ ॥
ਹਰੀ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
Singing His Praises, sins are washed away.

ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਾਨ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਰ, 
Through the Word of the Guru's Teachings, listen to His Praises with your ears.

ਹਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕਿਰਪਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਲੈ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਰ, 
The Lord shall be Merciful to you. ||1||Pause||

ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਇਕ ਚਿਤਿ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਇਕ-ਮਨ ਇਕ-ਚਿੱਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ । 
Your humble servants focus their consciousness and meditate on You with one-pointed mind; those Holy beings find peace, chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Treasure of Bliss.

ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ।
They sing Your Praises, God, meeting with the Holy, the Holy people, and the Guru, the True Guru, O Lord God. ||1||

ਜਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਤੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਤੇ ਤਰੇ ਭਵ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਤੇ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨ ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ । ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਾਣੋ 
They alone obtain the fruit of peace, within whose hearts You, O my Lord and Master, abide. They cross over the terrifying world-ocean - they are known as the Lord's devotees.

ਤਿਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਮ ਲਾਇ ਹਰੇ ਹਮ ਲਾਇ ਹਰੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੨॥
। ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖ, ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖ ।੨।੬।੧੨।
Please enjoin me to their service, Lord, please enjoin me to their service. O Lord God, You, You, You, You, You are the Lord of servant Nanak. ||2||6||12||

Gauree Gwaarayree, Fourth Mehla:

ਮਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਪੁਤੁ ਖਾਇ ॥
The mother loves to see her son eat.

ਮੀਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਭਈ ਜਲਿ ਨਾਇ ॥
The fish loves to bathe in the water.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
The True Guru loves to place food in the mouth of His GurSikh. ||1||

ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਹਮ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
If only I could meet those humble servants of the Lord, O my Beloved.

ਜਿਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਦੁਖ ਜਾਹਿ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Meeting with them, my sorrows depart. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਉ ਮਿਲਿ ਬਛਰੇ ਗਊ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗਾਵੈ ॥
As the cow shows her love to her strayed calf when she finds it,

ਕਾਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਘਰਿ ਆਵੈ ॥
and as the bride shows her love for her husband when he returns home,

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
so does the Lord's humble servant love to sing the Praises of the Lord. ||2||

ਸਾਰਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਸੈ ਜਲ ਧਾਰਾ ॥
The rainbird loves the rainwater, falling in torrents;

ਨਰਪਤਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
the king loves to see his wealth on display.

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਜਪੈ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
The humble servant of the Lord loves to meditate on the Formless Lord. ||3||

ਨਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਧਨੁ ਖਾਟੇ ॥
The mortal man loves to accumulate wealth and property.

ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਗਲਾਟੇ ॥
The GurSikh loves to meet and embrace the Guru.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਪਗ ਚਾਟੇ ॥੪॥੩॥੪੧॥
Servant Nanak loves to kiss the feet of the Holy. ||4||3||41||

ਠੀਕਰ ਫੋਰਿ ਦਿਲੀਸ ਸਿਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੁਰਿ ਕੀਯਾ ਪਯਾਨ ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਰੂਪੀ) ਠੀਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ (ਔਰੰਗਜ਼ੇਬ) ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਭੰਨ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਲੋਕ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸਥਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ।
Breaking the potsherd of his body head of the king of Delhi (Aurangzeb), He left for the abode of the Lord.

ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਕਰੀ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਆਨ ॥੧੫॥
(ਗੁਰੂ) ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੧੫॥
None could perform such a feat as that of Tegh Bahadur.15.

ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਕੇ ਚਲਤ ਭਯੋ ਜਗਤ ਕੋ ਸੋਕ ॥
(ਗੁਰੂ) ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਦੇ ਚਲਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਕੌਤੁਕ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਗ ਛਾ ਗਿਆ।
The whole world bemoaned the departure of Tegh Bahadur.

ਹੈ ਹੈ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਭਯੋ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਸੁਰ ਲੋਕ ॥੧੬॥
ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਹਾ-ਹਾ-ਕਾਰ ਮਚ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਦੇਵ-ਪੁਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੈ-ਜੈ-ਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਲਗ ਗਿਆ ॥੧੬॥
While the world Iamented, the gods hailed his arrival in heavens.16.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਬਰਨਨੰ ਨਾਮ ਪੰਚਮੋ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਮਸਤ ਸੁਭ ਮਸਤੁ ॥੫॥ਅਫਜੂ॥੨੧੫॥
ਇਥੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦੇ 'ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਬਰਣਨ' ਨਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਾਂ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੨੧੫॥

Spirituality is not about trying to get your practises perfect. It's all about innocent devotion! Bhai Baljit Singh tells two beautiful stories exemplifying how humility, innocence and devotion brought them towards Vaheguru (God). In the first story, we learn about Vidur who even with a low class and being from a poor family, was visited by Krishan Ji, who was the Avtar of Duapur. This Sakhi is mentioned by Bhagat Kabir Ji, Guru Arjan Dev Ji & Bhai Gurdas Ji to help us with our devotion and understand what really matters in getting closer to Vaheguru (God).

In the second Sakhi, we hear the story about Mai Bhaagpari, an old lady from Kashmir who begged for the darshan of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and waited patiently - watch the video to find out what happens!

The Sarbloh Granth (Punjabi: ਸਰਬਲੋਹ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ, sarabalŝha grantha) also called Manglacharan Puran. Sarbloh Granth literally means "the Granth or Scripture of all-steel or iron".

In the age of Satyug, a Sanyasi lived in the area near modern-day Hajur Sahib, his name was Brahm-anand. This Sanyasi’s family all had ‘Anand’ at the end of their name and it was from their famous family that the town where Hajur Sahib is was called Nander. Brahm-Anand had nine students (chele) who all asked him one day to bless them with liberation (mukti) from the birth and death cycle. Brahm-anand told them that does not possess this power to give liberation but told them to wait till the age of Kalyug where Paramataa himself will come in a form to give them liberation. Brahm-anand told his students, “When He comes you must go and pay him homage. He himself will recognize you and call you over and ask for the granth. The nine students were puzzled and asked Brahm-anand how they will live until Kalyug. Brahm-anand told them under his blessings they would not feel hunger and they will not die. Brahm-anand then gave his students a scripture (pothi) which was in Sanskrit. Brahm-anand told his disciples that when Paramatmaa’s very form appears to you in Kalyug He will ask for this scripture, so keep it with you. The students obeyed their Guru’s command and proceeded to the jungles where they became hidden and did their worship until the age of Kalyug. 

Several ages past before Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Paramatmaa’s very form, traveled south to Nander. The nine disciples of Brahm-anand all became aware of a very special being in their vicinity so they ventured to get a glimpse if Narayana had finally arrived. When they arrived at the Guru’s Court, Guru Ji greeted them and asked them if they have the scripture that he wanted. Guru Ji told them he knew they were waiting for him. The disciples of Brahm-anand were in the highest stage of bliss, how many long years had they waited for this moment. After Guru Gobind Singh Ji received the scripture (pothi) He gave the students of Brahm-anand liberation (mukhti). 

The scripture that was given to Guru Gobind Singh Ji was the story of the Sarbloh avatar (manifestation of God). Dusht-Daman (the previous avatar of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) had written what he had seen in Satyug between the war of Sarbloh and various demons (Bheemnaad and his brother Beerjnaad). The scripture (pothi) was in Sanskrit but Guru Gobind Singh Ji rewrote some/many parts of it in various contemporary languages. The various languages of the Sarbloh Granth include Arabic, Persian, Brij Bhasha, Sanskrit, Sadhu Bhasha and various other dialects. Guru Gobind Singh Ji completed and formalized the Sarbloh Granth at present day Gurdrawa Baba Nidhan Singh Ji infront of Takht Hazur Sahib. Previously this Gurdrawa was a Nihang Singh Chauni (encampment) but the property was given to Baba Nidhan Singh to set up a spot dedicated to langar (free community kitchen). The Chauni was previously called Bunga Sarbloh Ji.
