A "tune" that came into existence when Mick Rippon send me a sketch for a melody, on which I, Jeroen Tel, evolved on within Renoise (Renoise is a music tracker (the best in the world) for those who don't know). I send it to Zubareus, a brilliant guitarist from Russia to add a magic guitar solo. I mixed it all together and this track was born. So, again, I proudly present another co-op between friends. It's a waste to not trying to settle things.

Zzzleeping came to be when I was starting to have a hard time sleeping, turning into a form of insomnia I never knew could happen to me. I think if it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.

I used to be a sound sleeper, but worries kept my brain active at all times. The best way to deal with it was to channel the energy into a song, and this is what came out. I slept like a baby right afterward. 

I hope this song will help those of you who are sleepless or suffer from insomnia. Of course, it's also meant for those who normally sleep well by nature. But I dedicate this song to those with a sleeping disorder. It's not pretty!

"Stranglehold" came to be a couple of days before Christmas 1995 when I decided to take up the challenge to use only 1 sine wave sample to create an entire piece of music.  The only thing to be manipulated was the pitch and the volume of the sine waves.

According to quite a few people, the song started a whole new music genre, but I won't claim credit for that... or do I? ;-)

I used Fasttracker 2.08 (a tracker program) to compose the song.
At the time the most popular music tracker around.

The tune is 14622 bytes in file-size (15 KB) and has been extensively used in cracktro's, has been used to test and tweak mod-players like XMplay, Winamp, and the likes. There are many remixes of the song around. Just google for "Stranglehold Jeroen Tel (WAVE)."

The original file (XM module) can be found as "jt_strng.xm" (just google it) and is best played using XMplay (www xmplay com)

I hope this tune will sooth your ears / mind / soul and heart.

Jeroen Tel - Myth (History In The Making) (Preview)

"Pools of Poison" is the winner of Music Contest #4 (Veteran section), organized by Hornet in 1996.

I tracked and released it under my tracker name "WAVE".

Special thanks to Snowman & GD for taking care of the organization at the time!

The module was tracked in Fasttracker 2.08 and the original XM file is -not accidentally- 700.000 bytes in size. :-)

This is a 1 on 1 render from XMPlay, with no added effects.

I uploaded it to SoundCloud so people can hear the music without having to download the XM module and install a special module player for playing it, as well as to make sure not a -wrong- module player is used, which doesn't play the XM effects and note-data correctly,

Hawkeye is one of the first video game soundtracks I ever composed. The game itself was the first parallax full-screen platform game on the Commodore 64 created by the Boys Without Brains (BWB). I worked through the entire weekend putting more and more things together on W.I.P. Supremacy... Also worked in, some of the feedback I got from several music friends (Thanks for that!)

I added the first addition of the recorded choirs (there will be more of that). In case you wonder? Yes, the voice is mine (dubbed as a choir many times over).

Still "missing" (intentionally):  The main lead arpeggio! /|/|/|
When they're there eventually, they will be eargasmic.

I always felt that the Tel Me More project should have it's own theme, separate from the remakes, to honor my backers (contributors)... When I came up with the name "Tel Me More" I meant showing more of me, uncensored, pure and free. This is still a work in progress as it's formally called. I hope you guys and galls appreciate what I'm trying to achieve with my music for you... and also that this track shows some insight into my raw spirit.

It's also an ode to my "tracker friends" from all the way back!

Preview of the remake of the Highscore tune for the Commodore 64 videogame "Hawkeye" for the upcoming album "Tel Me More".

Composed in 1986 at age 14 and published by Thalamus in 1987. The game was developed by my friends the Boys Without Brains (BWB).

This was always one of my personal favorites and I felt it was the most accomplished short tune I composed for a C64 game.

I got reminded to remake this tune a lot in the many years passing since. When my friend and producer of many years, Joe Bonar, reminded me of it recently, I decided to drop working on all the other songs for a while and work on this one non-stop.
