I open my eyes
I see the sun rise bright
my emotion is strung tight
but I need to get high
to feed the desires of these secrets I hide

inside and out I'm defined by doubt
who am I I can't find it out
where am I heading
I never know 
pessimistic missives for manic depressive souls,
left  wrestling hope

can I cope with this pressure that grows
like a slow burning coal that left us cold
am I loud enough? when these sounds erupt
in the town's of dust where the crowds are stuffed

And I'm down on my luck going round in a rut
blood on the ground from a thousand cuts

and I'm wishing for a way out
I just stay bound 
held down huddled under grey clouds

But I can't see the sun for the rain
And I'm gone like the colour on a stormy day
It's like I lost something special when I lost my way

I feel I need to escape
all this evil and hatred
that's lead us to fates
that our leaders debated

dreams are deflated
the aftertaste of heartbreak
leaves heartbeats wasted

so I waited  impatient my face in my hands
safe in this state of  frustration an angst
pacing the stations or crushed in the banks
thrust in the queue forever pushed to the back

I just cant take any more
staked to the floor  
poor, cant help but worry
 bare shelves no money 
airwaves are muddied
airways are bloodied
I hurried 'where' 

to get away from the same life
games televised 
played by soldiers  holding loaded dice
behold the planes that exploded twice
tell us lies, now we're terrorized 
forever cry!

garrisons assault
harridans harry the soul,
the planet revolts,
parasites damage the coasts,
ghosts the pallor of salt
gather in cults, sow panic and ravage the folk

give me heaven not the presence of heathens
when the remedy's the enemy, developing reasons
feeding jealousy greed and these negative feelings
seen in residents scheming, 
teeming tenements seething

with peasants alarmed
a menacing calm
we're measured by whether we're clever or charmed
forever disarmed
by treasures we guard
our bodies embalmed
like relics in medical jars,
now regard our delicate hearts…

terror is the whole aim  
cursed from birth to old age,

laymen serve as vagrant serfs

ingrained in dirt
chained they lurch
with brains berserk
i'm not the same, I'm afraid i'm worse,

strange ways and quirks, displayed at work
so fade away disgraced and [hurt],
