Slimfit is an Amsterdam sweetheart and a multidisciplinary artist with Chinese, Surinamese, and Dutch roots. Known for energetic sets, they skillfully weave various sounds into a seamlessly blended stream. From rhythmic hard drum to emotional techno and hardcore, post-club and GQOM to Neo Perreo and Kuduro, their sets transcend cultural boundaries, challenging colonial borders and nations. Consistently encouraging the crowd to move, Slimfit serves as an antidote to any static ways of being.

Their practice is focused on deejaying, artistic+ philosophical research, sonic performance and (moving) digital imagery and performance-art. In their deejay-sets they seam differing genres together into a collage of resonating and energetic sounds.

In collaboration with friend and artist Mila V they run music platform 'Alternative Planet Fm' for which they organize events with live-acts and deejays and host a monthly radio-show wherein they interview FLINTA+ artists to talk about their practice.

Inspiration to produce great work can come from anywhere, preferably with solid relatable source of background in origin. Channeling this creative energy through singing, dancing, sculpting, painting, and most importantly through literature (hence the playwright in development) were at some point just a hobby.
