"We messed around with a MicroKORG for a bit, which eventually became the main bass line in the first drop. The tone of that synth really inspired us, and everything kind of just fell into place around it. Once we got the song finished, we wanted to get some vocals to really tie everything together so we reached out to SL33PY and he was more than happy to come over and record some lyrics with us. As a label and artist collective, Gravitas has helped cultivate uncounted experiences for passionate music lovers across the world, and as a celebration of five years in this labor of love, the crew has released a compilation to honor a truly noteworthy milestone. The 34 track collection spans only a tiny corner of the label’s massive 100 album catalog, but still offers a healthy slice of the varied styles and artists that have collaborated with Gravitas over the years. New challenges will undoubted await the team in the years to come, but if the past is any indication, Gravitas Recordings will meet every obstacle with creativity and dedication for the foreseeable future.
