In an unprecedented homage, Deception Recordings is proud to announce a heartfelt and special concept release dedicated to the beloved Claire Hardaker, affectionately known as Miss C.

Miss C, the longtime partner of artist Manifest, was instrumental in shaping his journey from the moment he signed his first music contract in 1997 with Hardleaders. A true aficionado of Hardcore Jungle since the early ’90s, Claire’s deep passion for dance music not only fuelled her own spirit but also played a crucial role behind the scenes in nurturing the growth of the Deception label.
Her memorable voice became the signature jingle for Deception, echoing the word "Deception" in our podcasts and social media adverts.

Eythorne Feat: Miss C
Manifest begins the track with a sonic adventure that opens with ethereal celestial pads, gently welcoming listeners as Miss C’s enchanting voice sets the tone. As the rhythm unfolds, pulsating drums surge into an electrifying drop, infused with a classic slice of the Amen Break. This rollercoaster of sound features a dynamic interplay of basslines, expertly woven throughout, complemented by two distinct arrangement drops. Miss C’s voice resonates, creating an irresistible groove destined to ignite the dance floor.

Claire’s Theme
More than just a track, Claire’s Theme is a heartfelt tribute to Claire herself. Drawing inspiration from a beloved ’70s A cappella group whose song “Clair” was immortalised by producer J. Dilla in his underground hip-hop track “Player,” this liquid DnB masterpiece captures a nostalgic essence. Claire’s joy was palpable when she discovered her name subtly referenced in the Sample.
Manifest has transformed this cherished sample into a vibrant, emotive piece, culminating with a personal message from Claire—adding a deeply intimate touch to this musical tribute.
