The brothers laid down a radio show end of April, 29th in preparation of upcoming events and live appearances.  The set turned out to be a real journey through experimentalism, jazz and their trademark High Baptismal Flow.

When we approached Breixo Martínez a few months ago to contribute with a mix for SOULMEEX DECKS, we were not really expecting such a fast and enthusiastic response from his side. It really made our day to be honest. Much less did we think he would contribute not just one, but two sets. Starting today with the first chapter (expect the second one in late June), let’s begin by telling you a little more about this gentleman.

A cornerstone of Barcelona’s underground scene, Breixo - also known as Abu Sou - is a Galician DJ and selector with a passion for vinyl and genre-crossing sounds. Since 2007, he has been a vital presence at Discos Paradiso and co-founder of the influential radio show and label Canela En Surco, which champions everything from ambient and jazz to deep house and forgotten gems from the Spanish underground.

Breixo’s sets are soulful and richly textured, often rooted in house, funk, disco, and rare global cuts. His ear for music extends beyond DJing: with Pau Roca, he co-runs Escola Records, releasing timeless, analog-driven house music.

He’s hosted and shared stages with heavyweights like Ron Trent, Mr. Scruff, and Floating Points, while also curating reissues and compilations that spotlight lesser-known artists.

Through radio, vinyl, and the dancefloor, Breixo Martínez keeps the spirit of discovery alive digging deep and always playing with purpose.

Featuring a bi-monthly night celebrating counter-culture at The Poetry Club, hosted by DJs Death Wish & Blood Stain (aka Brother Joseph & David Keenan).
The night presents a live version of their cult radio show.  

The Brothers never plan or discuss sets in advance, so no tracklist in advance.  The set goes where the High Baptismal Flow leads.  Its a part of the Quest - Hear the set, Seek out the music - Old Skool.
