What if Tobacco & Panda Bear mastered time travel and journeyed together to Montclair, NJ, circa 1982, to write & record a collaboration with R. Stevie Moore during the peak of his exploration of post-punk, then traveled back to 2021 to mix it? You might end up with this intoxicating new single from Jah’s Tin, “Indigo Master.” A trance-inducing groove, tribal drums, and swirling synths lay the foundation for the spaced-out vocal melodies to dance upon. A flowing waterfall of sound. If you listen closely, you might even catch hints of Robert Fripp and Throbbing Gristle. Industrial post-punk ambiance. Highly recommended for soundtracking explorations of inner space.
