Coming from his upcoming Recourse EP, premiering here today is Los Angeles Dub, a fat, rolling house stunner that's heavy on the classic Chicago tip.

Focusing on more reduced, hypnotic, and raw sounds than the main Poker Flat label, Sublease is set to be an essential resource for those looking for a little extra grit in their tracks. MANIK does not disappoint. 
Tonight works a raw acid line for over eight minutes, balancing it with dreamy pads and clattering snare rolls. It’s a little touch of ‘88 filtered through a contemporary lens. 
Unknown Acid treads a similar path - strip- ped down to the absolute essentials - a tough 808 rhythm track meets a phat, pri- med 303 lead to cause maximum club devastation.

Chris Manik fired onto the electronic music scene in 2011 with releases on Ovum, Poker Flat, and Culprit. The Queens native is the quintessential New York City DJ; a connoisseur of dance music with an inimitable style that crosses multiple genres. A seasoned crate digger, he spends hours in record shops to find those forgotten records and hidden gems. Now residing in sunny Southern California, Chris is also a taste-maker and educator. In 2020, he started releasing dance music cuts under a brand new artist name: "Chris D106." Chris continues to bring his unique brand of house and techno, old school and new school, expertly crafted music to the dance-floor. Be on the lookout for these exciting new tracks!
