Inspired by the nostalgia of Portuguese music and other more modern genres like Soul, R&B, and Jazz, MANILA is a Lisbon-based band that wants to create music without preconceptions on genre and style. 

The different musical backgrounds of each member result in an eclectic and original proposal of indie pop, with catchy melodies and antagonistic instrumentals, with both dancy and mellow vibes.

Their first single, “domingo à tarde” (Sunday afternoon) showcases MANILA’s creative proposal and wide-ranging musical influences. Lyrically, it explores hangxiety-induced themes like existentialism and loneliness, in a world of endless temptations that often steer us off the path to inner peace.
