Respected as one of the best live Canadian DJs in the game, Grandtheft has taken a break from globetrotting to pack in a HUGE release for Jeffree’s. Along with World Red Bull Thre3style champ and close pal Hedspin, they have made something minimal but fierce with their track “Mobbin.” The build channels the darkness of No Limit Records at its prime while the drop carries the bounce of a screwed and chopped new jack swing track. That, combined with the most menacing synth stab we’ve heard in a while, makes this tune unstoppable.

With “Give Me More,” Grandtheft lends us a soulful track that marries a delicious combination trap and dub in the same vein as his popular remix of Keys N Krates’ song “Treat Me Right” released off of Dim Mak. The juxtaposition of the drop is a total WTF moment for any club-goer and we mean that in the best way possible. Grandtheft’s momentum continues to pick up incredible speed with each release, and we don’t see his rise mellowing out anytime soon.

I first heard ‘Can’t Do Without You’ a few weeks back and immediately fell in love with it. The vocal had such a timeless and classic feel to it that I instantly knew I had to make a version that I could play out in my sets. 

I kept the amazing vocal intact and built an epic and slightly dreamy late night, feel good track around it. The whole Caribou album is probably my favourite album of the year, so I hope I did the original justice!

Insomniac Discovery Project winning duo Louis Vivet is following up their Escape From Wonderland performance with the release of their debut single, featuring vocals from Gavrielle and Nick Goldston. This cover of the 90’s smash hit is released on November 25th, in anticipation of the duo’s forthcoming EP on Prep School Recordings.

“We decided to cover this song because we thought it was something that fans would connect with. A lot of the stuff coming out these days doesn’t have that emotional component that really resonates with fans. We wanted to create a song that seems happy but underneath, there’s an underlying sadness...we enjoy creating art that carries with two different meanings. And when we first linked up with Gavrielle (via YouTube, funny enough) we started talking about our favorite childhood songs, and we all universally named ‘Save Tonight’ by Eagle Eye Cherry. So we decided to give it a modern re-interpretation and infuse it with different elements from our favorite producers like Kygo, EDX, and Christian Karlsson of Galantis.”

Surveying the wonders of cultures from across the globe, Chris Gavino, best known as Manila Killa is a well-traveled producer inspired by his cross-continental upbringing. A now decorated producer with an expansive repertoire of accolades, Manila Killa cut his musical teeth as a high schooler in The Philippines by combining self-taught Ableton lessons with a penchant for electronic music. Guided by emotion-driven soundscapes and the connective nature of melodic dance music, Manila Killa excels at synthesizing the foundations of human passion. In 2014, he formed the successful house duo Hotel Garuda and co-founded his own independent record label Moving Castle which has since housed acts like Slow Magic, AObeats, Khamsin, and many more. Since his departure from Hotel Garuda in 2018, Manila Killa refined his solo craft with his 2019 debut EP 1993 which garnered praise from media heavyweights like Billboard, Forbes, and Ones To Watch adding to a laundry list of critical acclaim joining tastemakers like Complex, Paper, and NYLON. With official remixes for Chvrches, The Knocks, Tegan and Sara, and performances at festivals like Firefly, Ultra Miami, Electric Zoo, 88rising's Head in the Clouds, and more, Manila Killa is defined in equal parts as a producer, performer, and in-demand collaborator.
