A tribute to Mohammad Jahanara, leader of the resistance of Khorramshahr, a  border town in western Iran during the 8 year long Iran - Iraq war.

Mahûr is one of the seven Dastgāhs (roughly translated to Modes) of Persian Classical Music. This piece begins with a Darâmad (Intro) and continues into an improvisation.

Mirrors is a song by Justin Timberlake that I began playing a couple of years ago. It morphed a few times until I had an adaptation that was in tune with my musical taste.

This is my adaptation of a piece featuring maestro Mohammad Reza Shajarian on vocals, that appears on his album titled "Ghoghaye Eshghbazan". That album, and that piece specifically were the theme music to my first few months in the U.S. as an early-twenties International student, and has held a special place in my heart ever since. This is my rendition of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence". I began playing around with this song a while ago, looking to simplify it to the core idea and delivering a personal, intimate version.

Fall of 2010 when I had just moved to New York, I was a student in search for a better graduate admission with a scholarship. I had deliberately uprooted myself form the familiar in search for what I could become. The city was mysterious, intriguing, scary and gravitating. Rain & clouds were abundant and I didn't have much company. This song though, kept me company.

Eulogy for my uncle, Mohammad Goltinaty who recently passed. On a hot summer day some twenty five years ago, he came to my rescue, grabbed my desperate hand and saved my life, on the shores of the Caspian sea.

I owe him my life. He is dearly missed. May his soul rest in peace.
