MFR 011 welcomes Dublin-based artist and Koma Recordings boss, Wez Baldwin ( @wez-baldwin-1 )and Flip Finesse Boss Funkytino ( @funkytino )  to the Manipulated Frequency family! Wez has been practicing and perfecting his art in DJing and producing for the last 10 years. His sound has been heavily influenced by 90s House and Disco with a touch of Minimal elements. 

Wez has seen success in numerous releases with labels such as Swerve Digital, Andhera Records, Rawsome, Whoyostro and many more 

Osmosis: The bobbin' bassline got some serious grit in the lead track of Wez's EP, Osmosis. We hear tight drums designed for the club, stabs galore, all working together around chopped vocals and soaked with delay. 

Diffusion: Airy pads swarm the chopped and bouncing vocals in Wez's B side to his release, entitled Diffusion. Deep swinging drums, wet stabs and bird-like percussion really glue the track together in what we like to call, a minimal beauty. 

Osmosis (Funkytino Remix): We welcome Funkytino to the MF Family with his cheeky remix of Osmosis. Deep n' Minimal to the T, 'Tino has stripped back the lead track of the EP to deliver us with a club-ready groover peppered with stabs.

This is a tech-blues odyssey, an introverts primal scream, where complex emotions and urges are vented and perfectly complemented by Rathsman’s explorations into the dark corners of electronic music. With the release only in the hands of a select few tastemaker DJs, ‘Complex’ has been making waves at the recent Miami Winter Music Conference, “receiving hands in the air welcomes and even a sit down ovation” according to label boss Damian Lazarus. ‘Complex’ is set to be the first underground anthem of 2016.

The release comes with two carefully chosen remixes. First up is Swiss techno stalwart Deetron, who steers the song into percussive acid oblivion while Serge Devant offers up his deep house expertise for a dramatic and driving offbeat cut.
