Accordion player and sound artist born in 1977

Founded in 1912 by Bulgarian brothers Khan, Simeon & Harry Mankewitz (changed to "Manka" on arrival at Ellis Island in 1901), Manka Bros. is the World's Largest Media Company.

Composer, improviser, researcher.

Originally an electric bass player, he has studied composition with Azio Corghi while attending masterclasses by Trevor Wishart and Marco Stroppa. His work as a composer is mainly focused on algorithmic methodologies, indifferently in the electro-acoustic and in the instrumental domain, with a particular interest in compositional methodologies for automatic notation generation. His works include multimedia installations, film music, and recently theater music. He collaborates with Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca  (Cotrone, 2010, now published as Arsenale delle Apparizioni by Nephogram; Pseudo, 2012; Ultraorbism, 2015). He is a member of IVVN, a collective devoted to free improvisation, and he appears -performing the “rumentarium“, his own-built computer-controlled mechanical ensemble- on Hopeful Monster (Die Schachtel, 2010).  Together with Mauro Lanza, he is working on compositions for electromechanical setups and acoustic instruments (Regnum animale; Regnum vegetabile).

We must recognize that incalculable dangers lie behind the forces now at the disposal of governments, not only in the means of material destruction, but also and even more perhaps, in the weapons of mass suggestion, propaganda and state organization. There is no indication that the statesmen of any country will or can display the wisdom, the tolerance and the capacity for self-denial that the removal of these dangers requires.
