Daniel 5

Vs 1-4 If you’re not ‘under the influence’ of the Holy Spirit, you’re ‘under the influence’ of the world and its lies.

Vs 5-12 God’s wisdom is available, but you must humble yourself and ask for it.

Vs 13-17 No one can serve two masters; you will not speak God’s truth if you seek man’s favor.

Vs 18-23 When you know what is right, (by instruction, example, experience or conscience), you are accountable to do what is right.

Vs 24-28 God’s patience with sinners has an expiration date; someday the opportunity for salvation will end and judgement will begin.

•  Citizens fail when they value loyalty to leaders more than loyalty to God.

•  Leaders fail when they put their own interests ahead of God’s interests.
