Bambu Huts in 11.02.24. This is  no ordinary venue; it was a place I had stumbled upon a year before, a serendipitous discovery during a quiet moment of exploration. From the moment I set foot on its sandy shores, I felt an inexplicable connection to it.

The setting sun painted the sky in a palette of warm colours, reflecting off the rough waters of the bay that day.

As I began to mix, I let the surroundings guide my song selection. The melodic beats of uplifting Indie Dance echoed off the cliffs, blending harmoniously with the gentle lapping of the waves. Each track seemed to tell a story, weaving through the salty air and into the hearts of those gathered.

Time lost its meaning as the music carried us on a journey of sound.
We had experienced something truly special, a fleeting moment of unity and harmony with nature and music. The hidden bay had once again worked its magic, leaving us all with a sense of wonder and gratitude for the beauty of the moment.

As I packed up my gear, the gentle sound of the waves served as a reminder that this place held a piece of my heart. I knew I would return, drawn by the irresistible pull of the hidden bay and the memories of an unforgettable DJ set.

A co-production between Brazilian producer Bez (BR), MESH (SA) from Saudi Arabia and Ukraine’s Helen&Boys & Pink Bunny results in a four track slam-dunk on Zatar Music. 

The first track sees MESH and Bez enlist the vocal talents of Nukad for a fiery, psychedelic house cut that crosses cultures and genres with ease. 

The remix is supplied by Ark Nomads & 
Helen&Boys which veers towards an even trippier, trancy direction.    

MESH, Bez and Helen&Boys then collaborate on ID feat. SAFY, another trance-adjacent, progressive cut that continues to build and build. 

Rod Brito, also with a recent release on Zatar Music adds a classy remix that teases out more percussive elements to create a supremely atmospheric version.

His summer has been a busy one, with performances at the likes of Kappa FuturFestival and his long-running residency at Turin’s Audiodrome Club, plus releases on Dennis Cruz and Eddy M’s MÜSE imprint, SOSA’s label COCO, and more. Now, as he steps out on Jamie Jones’ revered Hot Creations for the first time, the Italian talent puts his best foot forward across three peak-time house cuts inspired by the label boss himself.

“The main track was inspired by a video of Kappa's mainstage in 2022 recorded from a friend's phone. Jamie was playing this glitched edit of Sweet Dreams (which I only found more than a year later) which really blew my mind. I watched it so many times that I felt the need to make something myself, recreating and exaggerating that special vibe. The track being. chosen by Jamie himself for Hot Creations is more than a goal and an honour for me; it is about paying respect to a label and a DJ who always inspired me and which I look up to.” - Nicola Gavino

With its sharp synths, feel-good trumpets and deep driving bassline, the spirit of Chicago house is present in opener ‘Givin’ My Love’. Next, ‘Lazer Tool’ offers a more modern minimal sound, rich with percussion and distorted SFX. Closing out the EP, ‘Pump Up’ combines elements from the first two tracks with cutting percussive kicks, warping distorted vocals and a grooving hypnotic bass that’s destined for the dancefloor.
