Active in various scenes since the 90’s, from days as a grafitti artist, to the emergence of techno in Europe and buying his first Akai 950 and Atari ST-1040, Milan-based Andrea Riberti is a live artist and producer with his roots cemented in early rave culture, drawing from the wake of Post Punk, Industrial and Body Music. 
As a project, Unconscious surfaced in 2013 to further experiment within electronic music, acting as an outlet to communicate raw, post-industrial sounds.
Earlier works under the alias were aimed within the techno field, with traces of EBM, such as 2016’s “Codex Gigas” EP on Berlin-based Advanced, and 2017’s sophomore album “Chaos Theory” on Moscow based, NEN Records. Proceeding releases on SARIN’s X-MG, Marc Ash’s Blacksilk, Berlin-based Instruments of Discipline, AREA Z and Detriti Records, began to define an evolving course, closely identifying within a new wave of EBM, cutting raw and nostalgic sounds with sharp modernity.
Unconscious’ live and hybrid performances are aimed at the fully body, moving dancefloors with a charged and sonorous strain of dark electronics operating on the fringes of body techno, acid, wave and italo.

Veleno Viola Podcast #10: UNCONSCIOUS

Some time ago, we had the pleasure of being invited to dig through the 100,000 vinyl records held in Lyon's municipal library, and put together a selection of 15 tracks for broadcast on Tsugi Radio.
We'd have loved to spend several days exploring these shelves, even if they weren't specialised in power electronics, acid house or ebm. There was mostly classical music and mainstream pop/rock artists. Librarians stopped buying records and adding to the collection towards the end of the 80s.
But we still made some interesting finds and came across some of our own classics.
So listeners can expect mostly 80s post-punk hits mixed with a few obscure tracks of poorly produced old French punk rock, for the initiated 🐔

For this new full-length output, Gil.Barte delivers on Teenage Menopause an 8 tracks LP full of formal strength and psychedelic grandeur. Unlike the vast near-death explorations or trancey adventures he developped on various labels such as Neubau, Big Science Records, Homemade Soundsystem or his own imprint Meth'O'Tapes, the meaningfully-named « Claviceps Purpurea » is a botanist guide to the valleys of the mind.

From the eponym opening to the ending echo, each entry is a glance at magical universal exotica. With an intense emphasis on rhythm, standing quite apart from his former releases, Gil.Barte draws the bouncing steps of a whirlwind dance rooted in western witchcraft.

Raging pieces of club-destroying material (for those who dare) meet sketches of electronic fever-dreams. A full circle that is meant to run on and on, breaking the veil of daylight consciousness.

Mannequin Records proudly reissues "My Government Is My Soul", a searing 1989 statement from Bourbonese Qualk, one of the UK’s most defiant and politically engaged experimental acts. Originally released on the group’s own label, this LP captures the uncompromising spirit of a band deeply embedded in the resistance movements of 1980s Britain.

Recorded during a turbulent period of social unrest, "My Government Is My Soul" stands as a fierce response to authoritarianism, surveillance, and the neoliberal decay that defined the Thatcher era. Bourbonese Qualk fused industrial rhythms, minimal synth, distorted tape loops, and spoken-word polemics into a sound that was both confrontational and deeply physical—a weaponized form of music rooted in activism and direct action.

Widely regarded by fans as one of the band’s strongest works, "My Government Is My Soul" has earned a near-mythic status in underground circles. Fans have praised the album’s stylistic breadth—“sometimes it kisses the hem of rock, at others it bows towards the likes of Steve Reich & Philip Glass".

This reissue, fully remastered by Rude 66, reintroduces a critical work of post-industrial dissent to a new generation. Still as urgent and unflinching as ever, the album resonates with today’s climate of mass disinformation and systemic control. It is a timely reminder that sound can still be a form of resistance.

The digital edition includes five bonus tracks that were previously available only on the original CD version, now made accessible in digital format exclusively for Bandcamp.

With its 10th edition, Dalmata Daniel’s split series brings together two artists who have both left their mark on the label’s compilations, now presenting their first full releases on the imprint. Anatolian Weapons and The Spy approach electronic music from different angles, one rooted in hypnotic techno rituals, the other in raw electro and post-punk energy. Both craft sounds that thrive in the shadows of the dancefloor.

On the A-side, Anatolian Weapons delivers three cold, hypnotic cuts. "Trapped" opens with heavy EBM percussion and a buzzkill bassline, setting a tense, mechanical tone. "Further Spiralling Down" sinks deeper into darkness with a grinding low end, tight drums, and electro-tinged claps, forming the side’s relentless highlight. "Apathy Through Shock" closes with pounding, catatonic rhythms and a mournful, otherworldly melody, pushing the listener into disorienting depths.

Flipping over, The Spy’s raw, electro-driven energy takes hold. "Same Blur" channels sharp electro beats with a punkish sneer and cosmic synth lines. "Falling", featuring The Spy’s own vocals, leans into melancholic new wave, pairing bouncy rhythms with bittersweet melodies. The closing "Pretending" drifts into the darkest corners, offering low-slung, haunted electro layered with distant, spectral harmonies.
