Brothers In Arts & Consentino Feat. Coree Matthews - Stay Alive (Mannix Primetime Disco Dub) Snippet

Hot Digits Music celebrates its milestone 100th release with an EP from one of label honcho Fingerman’s favourite producers of modern disco and reworks on the scene. Darren Daz Dalton of Get Down Edits fame was one of the first guys to break Fingerman’s edits and productions around 10 years ago, championing his work on their own label and hooking up for dj gigs when possible. Here under his new moniker “JisCo DaZz” Darren flexes his production muscles with four nu-disco, balearic chuggers blurring the lines between edits and original work. Opener “Feel Alright” throbs along with its pulsating acidic b-line and infectious vocal snippets before we move into classic GDE territory with “I Don’t Know (What I’d Do Without You) which see’s a classic breakdance funk anthem twisted into a horn filled heads down floorfiller. “Virtual” brings the balearic vibes with warm chords and vibrating bassline reminiscent of Pete Herbert’s finest work before we finish this awesome EP with title track “Love Dancing’” which sees Darren team up with fellow Irish Nu-Disco/house production duo Mix & Fairbanks and the collaboration doesn’t disappoint. Pure piano heaven!

A fitting milestone release for Hot Digits Music from such a respected modern disco producer we hope you agree. Here’s to the next 100 releases!

German DJ and producer Delfonic has been putting out great edits and reworks for some time on labels like Razor-N-Tape, Too Slow To Disco, or Nomada, but he has gained great recognition thanks especially to the Illegal Jazz series with his friend Kapote from Toy Tonics. Now comes his debut for Night Shift Records with an EP of four edits entitled 'The Journey Reworked' that reveals all his good work when it comes to giving new life to classic tracks and making them perfect for today's dancefloors. Side A opens with 'Boogie On', a classic that never fails with its funky guitar and signature piano, followed by 'It's Dancing Time', a dark dance track full of tropical disco vibes. On the B-side we find 'Bring On The Music', a perfect example of a funky disco rework with great voices and melodies, and to close 'The Mass Fire', an authentic hurricane of funky rhodes, boogie horns and crazy rhythms that will make you dance until dawn.

Oslo's finest are back with three impeccably produced Norwegian nu-disco slammers. 

We Don't Stop perfectly blends disco, pop and house into a late summer anthem for beaches, clubs and boat parties. Todd Terje, Todd Edwards and Daft Punk can all be heard, but the result is all its own and a perfect slice of fjord funk.

Treat Me Right goes more heads down but keeps the sunshine with chunky 4/4 beats, rolling chords and vocal stabs. 

Tusen Takk finishes things off in a disco prog direction with cosmic stylings, off-kilter acappellas, wonky synths, NRG bass and shifting arps. Good times with plenty of Norwegian wonk.
