Karen Proverbs "ButterflyKK" is a Gospel singer from the beautiful tropical island Barbados. Karen is mother of one son . 
     As a teen Karen had an admiration for the talented Whitney ,Mariah & Celine Dion who was her favourite. Later Karen's dad gave her a collection of worship cds of which Darlene Zschech & The Hillsong's Band became a favourite of hers up to today. She was even privileged to visit the Hillsongs Church twice on a trip to London in 2007 .An experience she treasures. Karen would say "Wow ,the worship experience exceeded that of the cd !"  Karen wished she could in some way impact the world like they did. Little did she know she possessed the same gift of singing as these other ladies have.
     Karen discovered this talent believe it or not in her early 20s after she braved up and accepted a local karaoke dj's invitation to take the microphone and sing the tune she herself had requested for him to get someone else to sing...the rest is history :-) She challenged herself to sing all type of genres and the latest Top charts music of both male and female artiste and became a karaoke favourite who won many competitions. 
     At age 23 Karen made a serious step to serve God & dedicated her gift to sing for His honour, glory & cause. Karen is multi-talented and credits that to her determination and proof that the word of God is true Philipian 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. Karen's favourite Psalm is Psalms 103 & her favourite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
      Karen has been fortunate to live out her dream as she now manages a busy singing ministry in the studio, church and many other programmes & events throughout the yr.She was elated when her first single hit the air waves on Jan 10 th 2014 which was written and produced by Paul "Billboard" Murrell  "Manowar Music" who resides in Bridgetown Barbados.
     Karen wishes not to imitate any other singer as she is comfortable in her own skin. Karen firmly believes in humility , sincerity ,clean heart and a right spirit are the key to success as a gospel artiste -"Success not being material things but  winning souls ,sharing the gospel (John 3:16) to a dying world and encouraging fellow Christians to continue fighting the good fight. 
    Karen believes that God is in full control of her ministry & doesn't believe in forcing doors open.She believes God will open each door in His perfect timing so she'll be able to complete her divine assignment ,therefore only God would get the glory in all things concerning her .Karen desires to leave a positive legacy behind to inspire others to serve Jesus Christ in spirit and truth.
