Sunfall Playlist (arc 1)

I don't know who or what the heck's gonna end up getting this Funky Tune Motif but it's sure coming in handy 
Also I only seem to be good at suspenseful sounding stuff with arpeggiated chords or chord progressions, to be fair they are incredibly fun to do now that I know how the heck to do them

Funky Tune is Suspenseful Now (was GG Chord Arpeggiated)

Messing around with the Funky Tune Motif, starting off with it being a theme for my boy Miles, but could encompass the series as a whole too. The slow bits denoting the Main 4's Prophecy about the sun falling, and then the faster parts is them showing off their abilities and their various adventures or something.
(pardon the picture, it's a placeholder, I'll have a proper one when I finalize this theme)

Sunfall (or Just Miles) Theme

Before their journey started, each of our characters had a snippet of a prophecy relayed to them by a mysterious being in their dreams. It isn't until later when they meet up for real that they can piece together what it was even about, and what their purpose is.

They have to stop the Violet Sun from falling, or their world is doomed.

(Dang I'm really getting hype about doing random music snippets for this campaign I'm in. Hopefully I learn more about music stuff while the hype's riding high)

SF- The Prophecy

In one of our sessions, Miles (my character) came across the world's equivalent of a Haste potion and all hell broke loose as the most energetic and impulsive of the group proceeded to get even MORE HYPER

Don't worry, no one on my team died, I just wanted to mess with the motif more and see if I could give it an entirely different mood
Hopefully I don't have to use this for anyone
(Oddly enough, just after I made this, we reached a player character's hometown and discovered that her grandmom died, talk about TIMING)

SF- Death Saves (Ah Geez Someone Died)

As the Black Moon looms ever closer, one of our own went and became the Prophet of a new sub-group of Moonwatchers, who renamed themselves The Moonrise Collective. Leaving Ollie, Miles, and Beth to continue the journey to stop Sunfall without her.

(Yeah this is basically The Prophecy with different synths and sped up a bit with a drumbeat)

Unbeknowst to the rest of the team, Miles has been picking away at some magic skills of his own, waiting for the right time and place to show them off

SF- To The Desert (THE SAD AND DRAMATIC)

At some point our group is going to reach the dark, frozen underside of the world, called "Great White's Pass" and while we have a bit before we get there, I've prepared something in advance

(I slowed down a segment of the song while working on the To The Desert track and just made it into a downtempo version of the main theme. It sounded frosty and wintery as it went along)

SF- Great White's Pass (Main Theme Slowdown)

Last week, during our desert trip,  our trio of players encountered Ratstar, one of the world's gods. We each had a turn to play a game with them, all with increasing difficulty. A bottle of The God's Ichor was the prize if we managed to win 5 out of 9 games.
Ollie was presented with a simple coin flip, which he won 2 out of 3 times
Beth had to find the ball under one of the 3-4 cups, which she won all 3 times
Exasperated at how we won so easily, Ratstar gave us the Ichor, and then asked for Miles to play the hardest game just to see if he would win, Miles accepted. 
His game was a combination of the two, guess heads or tails, and guess which one of the 5 cups had the coin under it. Miles won the second time around by guessing "3, Heads" just like he did the first time. 
The group left with an additional boon from Ratstar, and left the DM (not to mention the rest of us) in absolute shock cause WE GOT SO LUCKY

- Slowly, the Carriers are surrounded by about six dozen members of the Moonrise Collective. Ryler eventually steps out from among them. He pleads for the Journal one last time, but to no avail. When they question where Luna is, he just tells them that she’s safe. He didn’t want her to see this, no matter who won. Seeing no other options, Ryler attacks the party
- The crowd of Moonrise animals around him all take pot-shots at the Carriers using bows, crossbows, and slings. Ryler himself sends out the Shard the party helped to get for him, which emits an ear-splitting screech and hinders their actions
- As the fight went on, moments after suffering a huge hit, Ryler looks up and sees the Shard - the gift left for him by his late mother - shattered by a swing from Beth’s hammer. With the Carriers at their full strength, Ryler is no longer a match for them. He is smacked, unconscious, into the crowd of Moonrise members

Beth was a powerhouse this fight! She also landed the final hit.

"The sky above the Carriers finally begins to clear. It's painted with with a blend of breathtaking colors, and countless points of light hang unmoving among them. They even get their first glimpse of the moon, blanketing the path ahead in indigo light. On the horizon, what appears to be a tiny fishing village can be seen. Oddly though, there’s a teeny tiny part of the sky where it’s pitch black. Light seems to bend around it, even get sucked into it, but it remains shrouded in shadow… they catch their first glimpse of the Black Moon (which the players would recognize as being a black hole)"

I'm a cat crazy cartoonist that will occasionally attempt to make music (with LMMS and some MIDI programs). I say "Attempt" because I'm basically teaching myself some music terms (with some outside help) but for the most part I'm making it up as I go and playing stuff by ear. You'll know when I've figured out a new thing when I spam the crap out of it in like 5 songbits.
