Meet the Music Man with the Golden Ear. Dave Dar is an American/Dominican/Pakistani Emcee/Engineer/Producer from New York City.  Unparalleled work ethic and pure drive propelled Dave from intern to Staff Engineer at Electric Lady Studios. He was Branded as the "Go To Guy" for artists such as Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, Les Nubians, Erykah Badu, and The Roots. This eventually led to him to tour with Talib Kweli and DOOM, a natural expansion into the Live Sound world. This evolved into being a Co-Executive Producer on the Talib Kweli releases - A Beautiful Struggle (2004) and Eardrum (2007). For Dave, it was always about more than his mixing, even back then. 
Since then he has continued to make his mark on the Music Biz, but now you can hear his voice on projects he’s Penned, Produced and Engineered. His acclaimed BAMBOO BROS Album – AMERICAN JIBARO, (2011) featuring partner Kurious Jorge, has reinvigorated the game with beat thumping sounds of Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk, and Latin infused rhythms, even rapping in Spanish. 
His verbal agility has been featured alongside some of the best Emcees in the biz - Roc Marciano, Kool Keith - on the LUV NY album (2012).  Also on the Ray West produced Berrii Lipstick EP (2013) pairing up with west coast lyricist Blu. Hitting stages all over New York, culminated into opening up for Cormega (2015) at the Knitting Factory and X-Clan (2016) at the world famous SOB's. With a strong showing while featured on The Nickel EP (2015) - also featuring Roc Marciano and AG - Dave Dar is as gifted behind the mic as he is behind the boards.  Next up is a song and video debut for his duet with Kool Keith titled “Man Down”.  His debut EP is slated to drop later this year. 
Artists like Pete Rock and the Beatnuts still rely on Dave Dar to work his magic behind the boards. And the list is still growing. After over a decade in the Music Industry, he has evolved into a highly respected Artist in the game, but the still humble Washington Heights, New York Native just smiles bashfully and says “I am still just putting in that work”.
