Too often we get involved and build relationships with people using nothing lies…..with those lies, we harm those that trust and believe us. Sadly, I once took refuge in my own House of Lies. A house that I built to keep the reality of who I was hidden from those around me…..and as a result, I ended up hurting the people that I loved the most. This song was written for one of the many people I hurt during my stay in that "House of Lies".

Memories..

In August of this year I received news that my younger brother, Luis Antonoel Ruiz, had passed away...I was in shock...I remember having to read the text over and over again in utter disbelief...as the days passed, I just kept replaying memories in my head....I hit up my friend @tecknowledgy and asked him if he could send me an instrumental so that I could just get some pain out of my head....I asked my brother @micsmith if he wanted to join in and he blessed the song with lyrics that truly broke me down........this was not something I intended to share with anyone but my direct family and closest friends....I just wanted the thoughts out of my head......But I would always remember him telling me he was proud of the music I was making.... my aunts would tell me that Luis would always blast my music while he was cleaning and I just felt like deep inside God was pushing me to release this to the world.......maybe there are folks out there that have lost someone special and can’t find the words.....if so, this is for you. 🙏🏼

I hope that maybe someone out there can vibe to this and connect with me as I’ve connected with my family and loved ones during these times. This song cannot replace my brother but I pray it can help others find solace as I have.
