Bad Fruit is a take on togetherness as a body-smash. Two bodies as a cluster, morphing and rolling across the landscape. Indistinct body parts and identities merging into one another like rotting fruit. Effort, constraint, beauty, hybrid, humans on the brink of extinction. Visitors will be listening through headphones to a soundscape.

Walking with Water Public Program

Eleni Riga, Office of Hydrocommons: Hidden Waters, sound composition by Manolis Manousakis, sound walk (60 min.)
The Office of Hydrocommons: Hidden Waters is an alternative mode of presentation and storytelling, revolving around a fluid curatorial structure on hydrocommons from the positionality of the Mediterranean South, currently being developed at Atopos CVC in Athens, Greece. The piece takes the form of a sound walk in the city of Novi Sad and along Danube’s shores. Participants will have the chance to walk together, measuring the earth through the toil of their bodies, while the city’s soundscape will be infiltrated by pre-recorded sounds, interviews, excerpts of artworks currently in development for future programming, and soundscapes of Attica’s hidden waters, starting from the well in the premises of Atopos CVC. Given the fact that water situates us in specific locales, we will attempt to travel with water to a topos where it is both abundant and scarce, visible and hidden.

Sound Synthesis for – The Room Of Strength by Nichomachi
A space for calm, reflection, and resilience within the Onassis Hospital by visual artist Nikomachi karakostanoglou 
The soundscape serves the need for quiet and solace, offering respite from the noise of the hospital environment and transporting visitors to moments of ease. It weaves in sounds of nature from Messinia and Epirus; cicadas, scops owls, and gentle sounds of the sea to soothe the mind.

Born in Athens in Greece (1975). He studied composition and film at Columbia College Chicago in Illinois. In 2006 he graduated from the Ionian University with a Masters Degree in Electroacoustic Composition. He is currently a research student at DMU studying with John Ritchards and Andrew Hugill.

He works as a composer since 1998. He has composed works for small ensembles, solos, electroacoustic installations, video art  and multimedia shows. He has also composed the original music for theater shows, documentaries, tv series, short films and theater dance shows.
