Sina. - Remembrance (From Love To Dust EP)

This new single ‘The Skillz’ is about seeing our skills in life as a blessing to be nurtured and utilized with passion. We must make the most of our skills and realize that they are a survival mechanism. Regardless of life’s obstacles perfecting your skills is confidence building and emotionally fulfilling. 


After releasing my debut album ‘Straight Down The Line’, I also self recorded several mix tapes utilizing several genres, Dancehall, Reggae, Soul and Hip Hop. I began to contemplate the skills and the passion required to produce good music. One day I found myself free styling in the shower “Work out the Skills”- that was my inspiration for this track ‘The Skillz’..


The beat produced by Lance and Katalyst, has a classic 90’s Hip Hop feel but current to today’s sound. It has a powerful bass sound together with huge horn sections and a catchy melody that will force you to hum along with it.


 When listening to ‘The Skillz’ the tone and delivery of Ru C.L’s vocals over the Hip Hop inspired beat, with it’s clever lyrics and catchy vocals that blend perfectly, inspires you to work out your skills. ‘The Skillz’ may remind you of a classic Common tune -‘The Corner’.
