London based producer & DJ Vanity Project brings us the first in a series of ‘Leisure Tapes’ EPs – featuring four live to tape crunchy cosmic house jams, hums, clicks, hiss and all.

The EP brings influences from classic italo, acid and downtempo cosmic house, and was initially written for a new Vanity Project live set. Recorded and mixed live at Claptrap HQ with an MPC3000 as the heart of the set up and various vintage treats thumping away in it’s wake. As the first in a series of ‘Leisure Tapes’ the EP is themed around minigolf, and has amazing artwork from London based artist & maker of things Sacha Lacey.

There must be something in the water in Northern Norway as it’s keeps producing wonderfully leftfield electronic music. MAde is the latest to add to a rich lineage and his new EP comes with some heavyweight remixes that will leave DJs scratching their heads, wondering which mix to play.

Gjer Inkort is a no nonsense, heads down, peak time banger that puts it’s foot to the floor and doesn’t let up. Jacking drums, nagging synths and a driving bass bring the heat. 

Making his first appearance on Paper, Jimpster shows why he’s one of the the world’s most respected house producers. Tight beats, wonky synths, rolling NRG bass,and immaculate production, there’s not a floor this won’t rock.

Offentlig Salærsats takes things down a notch to low-slung smokers territory. Deep, soulful and trippy, fans of Kruder & Dorfmeister and Nightmares one Wax will be all over it. 

Finally, nne of Oslo’s hottest emerging DJ and producers, Henrik Villard ramps up the tempo but keeps it on the deep side of house and techno. But make no mistake, this is a main room slammer destined for DJ’s digital boxes across the musical spectrum.

The A track on Andy Hart's newest Voyage 12", "Neutron", is a hardware driven cut driven by its ever-present and acid-tinged bassline. 808 drums lay the foundation underneath, while galactic synths and effects layer in to accentuate the affair. It's a bit more stripped-back at times than the producer's Mistress In Your Mind EP -- also on Voyage -- but a logical progression in sound. The B-Side, meanwhile, hosts the clubbier, pulsing "LFTR". Again, the 303 influence and sci-fi feel appears, but in a higher energy format meant to rock the dancefloor.
