After the 2017 release of the much played and hyped “Mama Eh” single (featuring remixes by Jowaa and DJ X-Trio), Berlin´s afro house pioneers, Freak De L´Afrique return to Man Recordings with a new club smasher.

“Akom” is a word from Ghana´s Twi language meaning “to enchant”, it was picked by Cambel Nomi, one half of Freak De L´Afrique, whose roots are based in Ghana. With its electro chords and atmospheric build up, it´s not your average afro house tune but represents a great hybrid of tribal sounds with Berlin´s techno feel.

The original track receives a heavy percussive remix treatment of Gafacci of Accra, Ghana, and an afro house remake DJ Satelite from Luanda, Angola.

Starting with 'Lines’, a melancholic track that fuses downtempo and afrobeat, to make way for the collaborations in' Margem' and 'À la maison’, where the guest artists print their house, hip-hop and jazz influence, and ending with' Dusty ', another harmonious track with a hip-hop and Latin touch.

Born and raised in Oeiras, Portugal, DANYKAS DJ, presents her first EP 'Dina De Brava' where there will be two tracks entitled 'Dina De Brava' and 'Morna', bringing together some of the references of the person who most inspired her as a person , her mother.

'Dina De Brava'
'Dina' her mother, it is joy, it is enthusiasm, it is energy, it is joviality, it is sympathy, it is affection and human beauty. Fighter woman, dreamer and always available to help those around her without waiting for a return. Pure human being with a contagious soul capable of enlightening anyone with the charm of her smile and presence.
Dina is a lover of bright colors, music, plants and life whose defect was not being eternal.
    
'Ilha de Brava' is the most inhospitable island in Cape Verde, and is characterized by beautiful natural landscapes, meek and struggling people with a huge heart, thus removing any doubt of where the landmarks present in the mother of DANYKAS DJ come from.
    
'Dina De Brava' is the track that will allow us to travel to 'Ilha de Brava', party with Dina and remember that life only makes sense if we really give relevance to the pure things that exist.

'Morna'
Dina is an explosion in person, but she is also 'Morna' when she lights her cigarette, sips her coffee and contemplates the sky on her balcony.
    
'Morna' sings on Sundays with the family, to the rhythm of the making of a beautiful cachupa, to the beat of a dance with Emanuel and to the glasses cheers of the grog that warms the chest.
    
'Morna' is the track that shows Dina's serene side, the small personal pleasures she had, what she liked to do in her leisure and family moments, her warm side.
    
'Dina De Brava' is an EP that has been prepared since the beginning of 2019 with the main support of DANYKAS DJ mentor Dj Satelite who has been helping in her production process and which will now have the opportunity to be released in this new decade of 2020 .
