It's getting hot in here with three new perreo cuts from Miami's finest Nick León.

Following a string of self-released EPs and an appearance on NAAFI, Nick León returns to Tra Tra Trax later this week - recalling the first sonic encounters on the radio when they were kids and sampling vocals from some of their childhood idols. He's also invited Henzo, Kelman Duran and Maral to put their spin on the tracks. 

Nick León previously released on Tra Tra Trax last year with a collaborative record alongside Bitter Babe who made her production debut. He’s a prolific producer and sound designer in his own right, known for mixing organic textures with club polyrhythms and sci-fi sound design. One of our favourite producers, Nick is also affiliated with Space Tapes Miami and has worked on records with INVT, Lao, Kaxien, LTAV, PRJCTN and more. 

Based in Colombia, Tra Tra Trax is run by Nyksan, Defuse and Veracco and was launched in July 2020 with an EP from DJ Pai. Since then they have released records from Luca Durán and OCTUBRXLIBRV as well as featured remixes from Florentino, AYA, Ikonika, BADSISTA and more.

London's Love In The Endz and Lima's Matraca join forces to put a spotlight on Peruvian artists making waves in electronic music. The result is an extensive compilation gathering a mixture of already established musicians (with Dengue Dengue Dengue leading the bill presenting a collaborative track with Prisma) and upcoming producers - bringing a combination that showcases Peru's talents across different generations. Among those taking part are Lukrø and Orieta Chrem, two very familiar names to anyone who has been following the club music scene in Latin America in the past two decades, who deliver 'Tú y Yo', a reggaeton/footwork hybrid cooked up in Lima's Barranco district.

With Applause V.A. Vol. 2, Matteo — founder and artistic director of the label — continues the curatorial work begun in 2023: “to capture a living and moving ecosystem,” at the intersection of local, diasporic, and international club scenes. Led by a baile funk- inspired vocal, the track fuses Bass Music, Jersey Club, and raw rhythms into a spontaneous, high-energy blend built for unrestrained movement on the dancefloor.
