A mix that has been coming for nearly a year, London based DJ and producer Asa Tate steps up to provide a stunning power hour of house, prog & 90s tech house. Commonly known under his Tech Support moniker, Asa Tate explores faster, more grooving sounds than his usual downtempo Italo style. 

"Recorded back in July in the midst of that blistering heatwave I figured I'd put together some bits and pieces that had been getting rinsed on the sticks at my sets, leaning heavily into the more up tempo high energy side of house and techno. Old and new, all killer no filler."

The duo Max & Mitch have been playing records together for over 10 years now despite still being in their 20s. This coupled with running one of the most well-respected underground labels to come out of the UK in recent years, has led the pairing to have a varied & extensive record collection with knowledge & understanding of the craft well beyond their years. 


This translates into energized dancefloors across Europe, a monthly Rinse FM show, and a residency at infamous Aberdeen nightspot The Tunnels as well Glasgow’s Sub Club & La Cheetah,  the latter from which they still run their label parties. The trailblazing duo knows how to keep the dance floor pumping, transcending genres, and playing tracks with the club in mind alongside rare hidden gems only the most ardent digger can find. They play with fluidity & energy that can only be achieved by having spent thousands of hours DJing alongside each other and having a deep understanding of what makes dancefloors tick.

Ce mois-ci on écoute la jeune dj Farah pour une session full énergie, rythmée d'influences multiples entre Electro, Break, House ou encore Trance !

- T'es qui meuf ?
Salut ! Moi c’est Farah, j’habite à Lyon depuis quelques années et je viens du Maroc. J'ai intégré la scène lyonnaise depuis un peu plus d’un an grâce aux ateliers mix proposés par Move UR Gambettes au Sucre.
Dans mes sets vous pouvez trouver un peu d’Electro, de la Trance et une petite touche de Bass music.

- Des projets en cours ?
Quelques teufs et quelques podcasts par-ci par-là. En plus d'événements que j'organiserai moi-même en invitant des artistes de la scène nationale qui me plaisent.

- Quelles sont tes influences locales ?
Un peu compliqué de répondre à cette question. La scène lyonnaise est tellement riche en terme de collectifs et de labels, je pense notamment à Everybody Trance ou ATOM.

- Comment est ce que tu aimerais voir évoluer la scène électronique locale ?
Aujourd'hui, je trouve que la scène locale avance dans le bon sens en termes de représentation des femmes et de minorités de genre. J'aimerais qu'on fasse encore plus d'effort dans ce sens tout en intégrant d'autres minorités qu'on ne voit que très rarement dans des événements de musique électronique comme par exemple les jeunes issus de quartiers populaires.
