‘Caught in the fire’ is a vintage summer feel-good nu-disco gem performed by Date Night and Dion Isaiah. A summer road trip vacation to the beach and hitting the nightclub dancing all night long. It features funk guitar licks inspired by music by Daft Punk and Jamiroquai. Elements used in the production include handclaps, synth bursts, and a majestic underline organ. Lyrically, DION ISAIAH connects with a companion on a deeper level and desires more than just being friends.

"Caught somewhere between a 4am Balearic summer sunrise and a 4pm Nordic autumn sunset Body In The Thames’ Public Domain 3D Terrain is an LP length release that spans 5 tracks of beautifully crafted electronic music for all the orange skied dancefloors in your head. There are no dense narratives, no elaborate concepts, just a set of perfectly formed, artfully shaped and well-proportioned grooves.
Body In The Thames specialises in the kind of bright, complex and expressive electronic music that might as easily channel Tangerine Dream as it does Grace Jones, flitting as he does between the cinematic and the playful. Witness how Alligator Souffle waddles out of the kitchen and onto the sun lounger with a reptilian swagger, while Xanthe Acid Youth prefers to gaze up through the cosmos over nine misty-eyed minutes.

Written and produced in the Stockholm basement studio that he shares with Gustav Ejstes of Dungen, Body In The Thame’s voltaic psychedelia is neat and precise, a musician’s take on a DJ Harvey set. Over the EP’s final two tracks he feeds the baggy shirted Cafe Del Mar crowd his own brand of expansive and precision tooled machine funk. Bus Trips rides a squelchy 303 baseline (sic) overlaid with chiming arpeggios and soaring synth silhouettes. Some People Just Never Know When To Leave weaves a downtempo 808 b-boy jam, melodious chords bouncing like an interstellar low-rider pulling slo-mo doughnuts up and down the milky way.

Of course, you’ll have to enjoy these delights from the comfort of your own home for now. But why should that stop you from booking a ticket on the Nordic-Balearic express, running 5 times a day from Stockholm to Eivissa? "

Xanthe Acid Youth

Fairies have always belonged to the threshold—between seen and unseen, matter and mystery.
In the oldest Celtic and Norse traditions, they were not the delicate sprites of bedtime tales, but radiant, otherworldly beings: the Sídhe, the Álfar—powerful presences tied to sacred mounds, hidden groves, and the thin veil between worlds. They were not small, nor harmless, but liminal—both beautiful and dangerous, a reminder that reality is deeper than appearances.

Over centuries, their image transformed. Medieval storytellers softened them into tricksters and helpers. The Renaissance gave them stage-light in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Victorian artists, chasing wonder, shrank them into delicate, winged companions of flowers and dreams. What was once a cosmic threshold became a glittering symbol of imagination.

This album lives in both worlds.
Synthetic Fairy fuses the raw soul of blues and progressive rock with the shimmer of synths, vocoder, and progressive house. Each track is an echo of that transformation: from the deep, mysterious resonance of the old fairy to the sparkling, electric shimmer of the modern one.

These six instrumental journeys are not bound by words, but by presence—fairies reborn in circuitry, wings made of oscillation, voices carried on vocoder wind, and flight sustained by house rhythms.

Synthetic Fairy is a six-track instrumental journey where myth meets machine. Rooted in blues and progressive rock, infused with shimmering synths, vocoder winds, and progressive house rhythms, the album reimagines the fairy’s evolution—from the powerful, mysterious beings of ancient folklore to the delicate, winged sprites of modern imagination. Each track becomes a threshold, where the ancient and the synthetic dance together in sound.

‘Northern Lights’ is the new single from German music producer Tim Bernhardt of Satin Jackets and Berlin-based British vocalist and songwriter David Harks.  Released on Belgium’s https://soundcloud.com/eskimorecordings it follows on from recent Satin Jackets hits such as ‘Feel Good’ and ‘Never Enough’ and is sure to find favour with anyone who likes their disco Balearic and the pop cosmic.

Following a recent trip to Norway to work with fellow Eskimo artists Atella and Cavego, Tim was moved to try and capture some of his experiences there in musical form. “After experiencing a world known for its Northern Lights, I wanted to take that concept and run with it, asking myself how we could reflect this phenomena in music," Tim explains. "Despite a busy schedule, I couldn't help but take a day off and go on a trip exploring the country and the depths and beauty of one of the Fjords in the area. It was absolutely breath-taking."

 

Inspired by Tim’s experiences and music David’s lyrics narrate a journey out on the cosmic highway to find the Northern Lights, his soft vocal delivery underpinning the song’s message and bringing a sense of warmth, nostalgia and expectation as we’re led out in the dusk to explore the both the world below and skies above them. "We locked ourselves into the studio for a few days to let our imagination take its course and weave the impressions into music,” David explains. “The end result was so vivid, it felt like I had been there for it all along."
