The influential Ukrainian duo ARTBAT has been enlisted to bring their unique melodic sounds to a new remix of Röyksopp's 2005 smash ‘What Else Is There?’ The iconic original has been streamed 10s of millions of times and ARTBAT are contemporary electronic tastemakers with a global fanbase, so this is a perfect pairing of two musical giants.

Despite only starting to work together in 2015, ARTBAT has played to tens of thousands of people at festivals all over the world, had their faces on giant billboards, and been Beatport’s biggest selling artists for the last two years. Retaining the iconic vocals of Fever Ray and The Knife frontwoman Karin Dreijer, ARTBAT’s fantastic new remix of 'What Else Is There?' transforms the classic Nordic chug of Röyksopp’s original into the type of high drama big room house music they’re renowned for.

Pete Tong has confirmed a BBC Radio 1 play on the day of release and this essential new track will feature on a new playlist curated by the band highlighting their biggest remixes.

This is another huge release for ARTBAT, who continue to redefine their own unique sound with each fantastic new outing.

You Are Too Kind For This World starts off with a full, throaty kick and haunting sound effects before dropping the lead in and whisking the listener through a dreamy, vibrant world of multi-tonal, echoed bells and a strangely energetic, yet subdued bass line. Burning Streets spotlights brilliant string work that morphs into and out of the droning bass over a fluttered, intermittently breaky beat. The last stop on our journey is Been Around, where the listener is treated to an otherworldly, vaguely oriental sounding lead that plucks merrily through a deep bass drone and effervescent percussion.

With Guy J’s eagerly anticipated third artist album drawing ever closer on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, the first offering is delivered in the form of three intricately crafted productions titled ‘Nirvana’.

The 23rd release on Aethereal welcomes Gvozdini to the label for his debut single. The Ukrainian artist boasts an impressive discography with appearances on Balkan Connection, Moonchild Records and Soundteller Records. Now for his Aethereal debut Gvozdini presents his latest single entitled 'Mystical Carpathian' alongside remixes from Andres W, George Yammine and Sean McClellan. 
The original mix leads the release off and finds Gvozdini crafting another one of his infectious progressive bombs. Backed by a driving groove and spiralling hypnotics the mix displays great energy early on. Soft vocal pads soon descend over the framework along with a long harmonic refrain which carries the track into the main break. Here Gvozdini builds tension with cutting edge electronics before a set of raspy synth hooks summons the groove back for a huge finish. 
The remixes included all offer something complementary to the huge original and make for a well rounded release. Andres Wolovich aka Andres W hails from Argentina and has had quite a run of releases this year on Stellar Fountain, Soulfire Downloads, Electronic Tree and Clinique Recordings. His ''Mystical Carpathian' interpretation goes deeper and dreamier with great results. Much like some of his most loved work he crafts an amazing journey into textural sounds and mystical melodies. The stripped down second act features some lovely aquatic designs before the buzzing synths reinvigorate the groove for a smooth and serene conclusion. Great work from Andres.
The second interpretation of 'Mystical Carpathian' is provided by George Yammine who is making his first appearance on Aethereal. Hailing from Denmark, George began his production career in 2012 with releases on Carica and C Limited. Over the next four years George would add Baroque Records and Stellar Fountain to his discography and even earned support from Hernan Cattaneo in the process. For his 'Mystical Carpathian' interpretation George has taken the progressive minded original and transformed it into a deep and sultry beauty. Anchored by a pristinely tailored groove and soft tonal themes the piece flows wonderfully while a lovely set of vocal pads adds a celestial quality throughout. Gorgeous remix from George.
The third and final interpretation of 'Mystical Carpathian' is provided by Sean McClellan who is making his first appearance on Aethereal. The US producer has a storied history in electronic music; his appearances on Bedrock Records, Baroque Records and System Recordings have stood the test of time remarkably well and he's closed the release out with a great remix of 'Mystical Carpathian'. Aptly coined 'Haunted Forest' Sean's interpretation flows through a myriad of spooky synth motifs and smooth hypnotic lines. Lush vocal gates add a gorgeous touch and that chugging groove just flows like butter. Superb interpretation by Sean which ends the package on a high note. Don't miss it.

Antrim & Luis Bondio - Brain Damage (Original Mix) [Balkan]

Sebastian Busto is one of the new breed of south american producers who really put a trademark on the table with their sound. His melancholic, smooth layered house flavour comes from his classic musical education. His latest work 'Dreamers' deserve the title, something tendering for the mind and soul. The remixes on this package comes from Erich Von Kollar, K Nass and Che Armstrong.
Erich Von Kollar is the busiest man in the Stellar Fountain household, with so many gigs behind his back in 2015 he also focused on a lot of remix works, like this one. It's the usual intelligent house milieu Erich use to prefer, melted with the original tune's most impressing moments.
K Nass brought a bit of an eastern feel into his rework, which makes it more attached to the passion it try to express.
Che Armstrong operates with a deeper attitude, rolling towards a techy baseline combined with the main textures.

Lane 8 - Midnight

The second track from Audio Noir's 2015 album - Artificial Star - to get the remix treatment is Your Love which features the superb vocals of Lokka Vox. On remix duties this time around and giving us a nice range of styles we have Alex Vidal, Yoky, Dharmalogy and Experimental Feelings. Some great choices for any progressive set, you need this one in your collection.

Alex Vidal steps up to the remix desk first and delivers a solid progressive cut that will get the floors shifting to the groove in no time. We last saw Alex back in June 2015 with Mesmerized, a track which proved popular among many, and no doubt this time out we will see great support for this one. The remix opens with a dark progressive vibe as chunky kicks are set against subtle percussions and deep basses that take us deeper into the groove as the layers build. A real progressive mover here that transforms on the break as those beautiful melodies are introduced. The best of both worlds here, a definite must have track.

Next up we have Bonzai Progressive debutant Yoky on the remix. This Italian DJ and producer started out at a young age and performed all around Italy and on some of the country's top radio stations. His passion for music led him to set up his own studio and in 2006 he released his first track under the pseudonym R-Type with a raft of top quality cuts coming thick and fast through the years under both Yoky and R-Type guises. Great to have this guy on board and we hope to see more in the year ahead. On the remix we get a taste of this guys talents within electronica as we are introduced to a fine selection of sounds that ooze that electronic vibe with a solid progressive groove in tow. The thing that stands out here is that bassline as it slices through the track to become the dominant force throughout. Cool vocals with equally cool FX added from Lokka litter the sound and add that extra dimension to the vibe. Top notch stuff and a worthy debut cut that will find its way into many sets no doubt.

Dharam Vir aka Dharmology returns to Bonzai Progressive with his remix and once again shows us a wonderfully deep melodic side to prog house that we know can be the icing on the cake of any progressive set. Last time out we got Back To 315 from this guy as well as a showing on a few compilations. Hopefully we will see more from this guy in 2016, well worth keeping an eye and ear on. The remix throws up a solid Dharmology performance that delivers a strong progressive groove that will definitely make it into many playlists. A cool contrasting track, this one has deep tendencies while brighter melodies ensure the track stays firmly in the peak time slot. Great use of the vocals on the break create a surreal sequence that climaxes with deep droning basses before we get locked back into full on mode for the duration. Fantastic stuff yet again from Dharma, not to be missed.

Spanish DJ and producer Toni Gonzalez aka Experimental Feelings returns to BP with a sublime remix. We last saw this guy back in September 2015 with his Indian Trip EP which gained great support across the board. Aside from this remix he has another release scheduled for early 2016 on Green Martian which will no doubt grab the attention of many jocks, keep a lookout for that one. As you'd expect from Experimental Feelings, we are treated to a sublime trek into the world of melodic progressive house. A tight drum arrangement  complete with crispy hats and a nice punchy kick provide a solid platform for this progressive groover to shine. Up top we have a cacophony of melodies that take on various forms keeping the track fresh. The bass is a subtle affair that packs a huge punch but allows the brighter sounds to take the glory. The vocals come through beautifully and melt into the sound adding to the melodic structure of the track. Superb stuff yet again from this guy, a definite must have track for 2016.

The 124th release on Suffused Music welcomes Ewan Rill back to the label for a brand new single. The Russian producer and Sever Records label boss was one of 2015's most prolific artists. His pendant for all things progressive and groovy made him one of the year's most in demand remixers. As a result original material from Ewan became scarce and each new project was met with great anticipation. Several impressive remixes again have kicked the new year off nicely for Ewan and now Suffused music presents his first original material of 2016 with a new single entitled 'Be A Water' alongside remixes from GMJ and Namatjira. 

For as prolific as Ewan is he's also extremely diverse, the common dominator in all his productions though is a keen dance floor sensibility. 'Be A Water' is no different with its funky foundation, phasing vocals and shimmering hypnotics. It's smooth rhythmic cadence makes it immediately alluring while a bevy of subtle motifs further tantalizes the senses. An understated break plays well to the tracks delicate sensibility, allowing the impact of the groove to be felt on a subversive level upon return. Likely one of Ewan's most mature works to date which certainly sets a strong precedent for the remainder of 2016.

The first interpretation of 'Be a Water' is provided by GMJ who is making his debut appearance on Suffused Music. As one of 2015's brightest stars, the Aussie producer navigated his way from one impressive project to another, finding a home on Proton's Particles and Balkan Connection. With an intelligent approach that draws influences from the Aussie old school and progressive new school, GMJ has become one of the undergrounds most intriguing artists. His Suffused Music debut has been much anticipated and he delivers a strong interpretation of 'Be a Water' as a result. With a deeper, more ethereal vibe GMJ has opened the piece up to a broader range of floors while adding his own subtle, yet profoundly emotional twist. A band of trailing effects casts a dubby haze as a light tonal theme continues to lift the mood with each passing loop. A short but well executed break brings a euphoric rush before a third act of dubbed out chord changes takes you home. 

The second and final interpretation of 'Be a Water' is provided by Namatjira who is also making his first appearance on Suffused Music. 2015 was filled with many great accomplishments for the Dutch producer. His debut album on 3rd Avenue was met with praise from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren while an EP for Omid 16B's SexOnWax drew similar acclaim. Namatjira continued to build on that success to start the new year with a strong remix for Sound Avenue along with a hugely impressive 4 track EP for dPen's The Last Of Us Music. Now for his much anticipated Suffused Music debut Namatjira closes the release out with a great rendition of 'Be a Water'. Anchored by a subterranean groove and shifting designs it's a mix that proves impactful,  both for the dance floor and the mind. It's swirling motifs and trail of sonic decay make for an intoxicating journey while a stripped down second act sits as it's a gorgeous centrepiece. Beautiful remix from Namatjira and one of Suffused Music's all time best offerings. Don't miss it.

Born in 1979, Adriaan Baussens fell in love with music at a young age. Growing up with his grandparents he was exposed to his grandfather’s huge collection of instrumental music including Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre,  and many more. At the Age of 12 a teacher discovered that Adriaan had the ability to play the melodies of songs he heard instantly on a recorder flute but when his grandfather bought him his first Casio keyboard things started to happen.  A Adriaan's obsession for synthesizers led him to learn all he could about sound design and production and there wasn't a day that went by without him being in his homemade studio, absorbing the multitude of possibilities from synthesis. He has a great love for Enigma which made him create chill out music and became the building blocks for the 2012 album "Sad in Joy" on Bonzai Elemental under the moniker Twins in Mind.
 
In 2005 a friend challenged him to make a House track. . "Good Feeling" was the result which became a hugely successful track and was remixed by Dr Kucho! The track went on to sell out in no time and ended up in the Belgian Dance Charts . Manu Riga was born.
 
The name Manu Riga originated from shuffling the letters of Gary Numan, another of his idols, and whilst he enjoyed success with 'Good Feeling' under this guise he felt this was not the music he should making. After struggling to write a successor to 'Good Feeling' he looked for inspiration in order to create the commercial sound he was looking for. At this time music by Pole folder & CP, DJ Shadow and Sasha & Digweed was opening him up to a new world of sound, much closer to the sound he wanted to create. In 2005 the track Taï Chi Girl, was refused by record labels which led Adriaan to put Manu Riga to rest for a while.  During this time Adriaan composed several soundtracks for movies and continued to create the smooth, chilled vibes of the Twins in Mind sound.
 
Almost 5 years later in 2009, after a talk with Laurent Veronnez (Airwave), he decided to send Tai Chi Girl to Bonzai Records. The track still sounded fresh and Bonzai was happy to sign it to their flagship label Bonzai Progressive giving Manu Riga a new home. In 2010 an artist deal was signed and since then a huge amount of releases and remixes followed.
 
Original tracks such as "No Matter What", "The Darkness Within" and the successful “Cimmerian" made the Manu Riga sound well known in the underground scene. Remixes for the late great Quadran (Philip Van Mullem), Gai Barone, Art of Trance, Moshic and many others, put the Manu Riga sound into many sets across the world and marked him as a highly respected producer. With over 40 remixes and 14 original EP’s it has been quite a productive 5 years for Manu Riga. 
 
in 2015 Manu Riga started a collaboration project with Matt Holliday (as Matt & Manu), releasing two very well received EP's, "You are Contagious" and "Submerged Needs", alongside remixes for Dark soul Project,  Phi Phi and Matan Caspi. On 25th of July the duo performed a back to back set on the Bonzai Stage at Europe's biggest festival, Tomorrowland. Every month they host their own radio show Ethnoscience on progressive.beats.org which is where Manu Riga also has his well received podcast Escape.
 
Another collaboration, this time with his close friend Alex Vidal, is already promising to be a big hit with the release of their first EP, When Worlds Collide - which will be followed up soon as they continue to work together.
 Currently (Summer 2015), Adriaan is working on his first Manu Riga album which is planned for the first half of 2016 but in the meantime he will continue to work on more collaborations as well as nurturing his Twins In Mind and Long Garden Avenue guises.
