I have started mixing music like 4 years ago. It was always a big dream putting all my fav tracks together in one Mix and showing it to my friends. I went through a lot different music styles over the years. At first i always played Melodic Techno and Techhouse, changed to Downtempo later till i fell in love with Deephouse, that is my current favorite. The sounds of piano and violin are pure heaven for me. At this point you can escape the everyday life and just vibing with your sound. So happy to be part of Tunspuren ❤ Lets go and have fun!

Was wird wohl mit unseren Protagonisten auf der Insel, die ihn einst so unliebsam aufgenommen hat, passieren? Simon Rucker gewährt uns einen weiteren kleinen Einblick in seine liebevoll aufgebaute Parallelwelt. Umrahmt wird die Episode von Guzy. Der das ruhige Leben auf der Insel und die daraus ergebenen Gedankenspiele mit seinem atmosphärischen Sound wunderbar einfängt.

Maria wartete irgendwo am Ende der Welt auf mich. In Stuttgart war es vermutlich inzwischen Herbst geworden. Hier brannte die tropische Sonne auf meine stählernen Schultern. Vom Klettern und Bauen war ich stark geworden. Ich mochte meinen Körper, berührte ihn gerne. Vielleicht wartete sie auch nicht. Ich hatte mir keine Robinson-Strichliste erstellt, nahm an, dass ich seit etwa zweieinhalb Monaten hier war. Sie wartete nicht. Wozu auch. Ich musste in ihren Augen tot sein. Sie hatte mich nie gebraucht. Ich hatte sie immer vermisst. Ich stellte mir vor, dass sie das gleiche machte wie immer. Dachte von Zeit zu Zeit an mich. Aber dann auch mal nicht.

Es war das 21. Jahrhundert. Wie lange konnte es dauern, bis ich hier gefunden würde? Höchstens fünf, sechs Monate hatte ich mir berechnet. Dann hätte ich auf irgendeinem Radarschirm oder Computersatellitenprogramm leuchten und piepen müssen. Kein Zweifel. Dann wäre man mich holen gekommen. Ich hätte unter Jubel und Glückwünschen auf dem Schlossplatz meine Geschichte erzählt. Maria wäre auch da gewesen. Aber es wäre mir egal gewesen. Denn ich wäre frei gewesen. Hätte der einsame Wolf sein können. Hätte nicht mehr darauf warten müssen, dass sie mich zu lieben begänne. Mein Bart wäre lang gewesen, die Haut braun. Viele Worte hätte ich nicht verloren. Zurück in die Business-Welt wäre ich nicht mehr gekehrt. Es reichte. Ein für alle Mal. Stattdessen wäre ich auf meiner Veranda gesessen und hätte Bücher geschrieben über meine einsame Insel. Bestseller nach Bestseller.

Auf einer Lichtung am Waldrand über dem Strand hatte ich mein Haus errichtet. Es lag wie auf einem kleinen Balkon über dem Meer. Zwischen Sand und den Klippen. Mein Haus bestand aus Palmenwedeln und dicken Ästen, die ich im Wald gefunden hatte. Befestigt durch Steine so schwer, dass ich sie gerade noch tragen konnte. Ob die Konstruktion einem Tropensturm standhielte, wusste ich damals noch nicht, war aber guter Dinge. Im Innern gab es so viel Platz, dass ich aufrecht stehen konnte und mein Bett aus Zweigen und Blättern lag an der hinteren Wand. Bei Regen war es trocken, den Wind hielt es ab und von den Sonnenstrahlen drang wenig hinein.
Und dann sah ich es...

With support from some of the most respected names across dance music, from Pete Tong to B. Traits and Kølsch, Kris Davis' reputation may currently be ascending, but it’s always been an unusual musical journey for the Isle of Wight native.

Originally indebted to the sound of grunge and punk, the typically rebellious aesthetic of a young life lived on a somewhat isolated island, Davis’ taste headed in a typically more electronic direction over the years, from hard house to experimental and ambient music. Whether grafting away optimistic years in bands or taking hard-earned moments away from shift work, dedicating late nights and early mornings to his home studio, Davis’ sound has always persevered with a raw, emotional quality.

The past few years have seen Davis find deserved acclaim for a string of production and remixes that put those delicate songwriting and production skills centre stage, not only combining a timeless analog touch with a keen ear for the limitless possibilities of modern production, but a powerful sense of rhythm that will both define and transcend a contemporary dancefloor.

In 2016 alone, his brooding, uncompromising ‘Delta’ EP on UK label Needwant has earned much play and plaudits for its vital combination of offbeat electronica and big room techno, which DJ Mag rightly praised for its “shimmering intensity.” Meanwhile, his two track ‘Aura’ EP on Alex Niggemann’s Soulfooled imprint, a much-respected outpost for fresh talent, found Davis on even greater melodic and melancholy form, a style also flawlessly showcased on another ecstatically received release, ‘Bleak’, on Christian Loffler’s ‘Young Alaska’ label. Meanwhile, his remix of Jerome Isma-Ae’s ‘Fiction’ on Jee Productions effortlessly inspires open-minded clubbers, long after it’s original release.

Hello angels,

After spending a couple of cold nights in our beloved home of Amsterdam, we are now located in the exotic city of Istanbul.  We took this chance to escape the cold for a little while and make some preparations for our next show in Istanbul next 21st of April. Location is ready, line-up almost there, the people already lovely... this is a show we are looking forward with all of our intentions.

For our sixth podcast episode, we introduce our beloved friend Malin from London. It was one of the weirdest moments in synchronicity. As we planned to upload this beautiful mix of Malin, we were put together in a house in the beautiful city of Oaxaca, Mexico. 

We met the warm, sensational Swede Malin. And got to spend time with her for a weekend. This young, passionate woman chose to focus on music full time. And as always, we are most inspired by the women in this industry.

Malin, we love you and can't wait to have you at one of our shows...

djimboh has been a musician all his life, learning classical instruments as a child before moving over to guitars and drums as a teenager, where he found his rhythmic calling. Despite dreams of becoming a rock star, it was a chance encounter on a pair of decks at a house party that ignited his obsession with electronic music.
Having honed his DJ skills over many years, he has developed a unique creative approach to mixing that values seamless melodic transitions as highly as impeccable tune selection. Since early 2019, djimboh has focussed on producing original music, scoring releases on labels like Earthly Delights, Mango Alley, OKO Recordings and Immersed, with his signature blend of subtly driving, melodic and emotive sounds.

Today we venture a visit to a more energized territory: Berlin-based progressive house and melodic techno duo Prismode & Solvane took over our shakers and mixed an extraordinary powerful Oceanside Fizz for you!

Their solo shows already are powerful. Together, and they’re playing often back-to-back, they create an energetically unique experience for any and every dance floor 

In 2015 they started their residency at the mightly Ritter Butzke in Berlin and belong to the club family every since. Prismode is the driving force of the Ritter Butzke Records label and Prismode presents the Ritter Butzke radio channel “Radio Butzke”. 

With the release of their “Octopus” banger in 2017 the energetic duo also belongs to the Stil vor Talent family, with regular releases and as part of the Stil vor Talent showcases. 

It is the energy of their gigs, their passion for music and obviously their unique style that brings Prismode and Solvane to renowned clubs around the workd. And, obviously, behind the Schirmchendrink counter!

Sonne, Strand und Meer Guest Mix #129 by B.A.X.

Born in 1989 in Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam, Bach was taught to play the piano when he was eight years old. Later on he took academic piano lessons at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, graduated the Intermediate Long-term program in 2009 and achieved the Piano Bachelor's degree in 2014. Bach has been playing the piano for more than 10 years now and this impressive sound has had a big influence on his music career ever since he started playing. He then discovered his passion of composing music and started his own project ‘B.A.X.’ at the age of 18. He has spent a lot of time to do research about electronic music and composed his first New Age / Ambient works.

He stepped into the movie filmscore in 2010 and started composing many filmscore for several short films, later on composing filmscore for Vietnamese feature movies from 2014.

He started the DJ career since 2012 with Heart Beat Saigon and since 2016 with HRBR (Harbour Saigon). Through many years of cultivation, the color of his Deep House music has gradually become an unforgettable symbol, a color that melody and harmony are the main euphonious factor. On the dance floor, he develops the music in different angles that you never know what is interesting to expect next, his selection of tracks will make everyone crawl out of their shell, as the music becomes the cocoon.

From here on, he began to produce electronic music for his own dance floor. In 2018, his first release Microcrystals EP was released on MNL label by Paul Hazendonk, the release has been miraculously praised by Paul himself as well as other big names. Also in this year, he then released his track Hallucination Rain in the Muak Sampler compilation on Muak Music label by Zaki, making him more recognizable in the world music scene.

In 2019, he established his new label Holy Grail Music, focusing on his passion for melodic electronic music. As he said, this imprint was a dream that he have cherished for years, an opportunity for him to gradually expand the music production with local artists as well as artists around the world.
