An artist of global renown, Moritz Rausch has continually shone with his Rauschhaus pseudonym. Making a very welcome debut on Proton Music, the German DJ and producer sparkles with “Opal”, including a pair of remixes from Belarus and Germany.

music signed to a host of imprints that include the likes of Eleatics, Einmusika, Steyoyoke and Parquet are but a few of the blue-chip labels that regularly feature his work. Now debuting on
Proton Music, “Opal” is a sublimely developed track that bristles with melodic prowess. Within a melodic techno framework, shimmering motifs vie with carefully placed counterpoint melodies
as strong beat and intricate percussive groove provide dancefloor dynamism that opens up in  spine-tingling fashion in the third movement. Belarusian, Michael A needs little introduction to the dance music faithful. As talented as he is prolific, a steady stream of supremely impressive releases regularly features across
underground music’s finest imprints. Work for Replug, Sudbeat and Balkan Connection highlight this talent as does a wealth of original material for Proton Music. “Orbital”, “My Style” and “Aura
Tears” have all made their mark since February 2017’s “Bright Hope” EP and it is an honour to welcome Michael back to the label for a third remix after impressive reworkings of Luc Angenehm and Dousk. His remix of “Opal” is full of the rhythmic prowess fans of his music are
accustomed to as shaker-fuelled percussive section provides a framework for a rippling arpeggio to filter into range with its roots firmly in Rauschhaus’ original. A spine-tingling bassline
sequence coupled with textured pads and mirrored chords at the breakdown, conveys an emotive new direction as Michael A hits the heights with an impressive remix. An artist with a strong techno background, Bastian Heerhorst has developed a dedicated
following from his Hamburg home. A DJ with global experience at venues across the world, Heerhorst’s production portfolio features remixes from the like of Rammstein and Oliver Huntemann under a former alias. Exploring a more considered, cerebral approach to his music, the Heerhorst sound has found considerable success as work for Stil Vor Talent, Wasabi and D-Formation’s T U S H music illustrates. Indeed, the “Seny EP” for BeatFreak Recordings included a trio of original tracks alongside remixes from Teenage Mutants and Soulwerk. A single remix for Proton Music in the shape of Michael A’s “Depth” is now joined by a deliciously laid-back groove that takes “Opal” in an exciting new direction. Redolent in swirling new melodic lines and
gently pulsating pads, a chunky new groove lays the foundation for a host of new production material to extend Rauschhaus’ work in a stunning new direction. A rich seam of iridescent light refracts from Rauschhaus’ “Opal”, further illuminated with remixes from Michael A and Heerhorst.

Back on Atmosphere Records after his massive global hit ‘Epic’ is Space Motion. This Serbian talent continues to show his ability to reinvent himself without losing his signature sound of tribal drums, mesmerizing synth lines and epic build ups.

Solomun is a big supporter of Space Motion’s work and for this it’s no different as he dropped it at Printworks London very recently.

The EP starts off with Dolphins, a big tune with a forceful break and a dynamic lead synth followed by a typical Space Motion drop. Scream, the second track on the EP, combines groovy drums with hypnotizing airy synths, building up into a dance-floor-wrecking drop. A remix of Scream from Nico Morano adds a whole new dimension to the piece with a catchy bass-line and dissonant melodies.

The turning point in Space Motion's rich music career was his live appearance at one of the top European music festivals, EXIT.
He's been working with Bonzai Records since 2007 and he's received support from the likes of Frisky Radio, Eilo, Sense.fm, Insomnia.fm, Dance Radio Greece, amongst many others.

Throughout the years the sound of Nico Morano has developed in to one of the most sophisticated in Belgium. His blend of deep, melodic house with a strong emotional touch has led him to play more than 100 gigs a year in highly respected clubs such as La Rocca, Café D’Anvers, Fuse, Ampere, Decadance, Kelly Palmer and prized festivals like Paradise City, Cirque Magique, Tomorrowland, Laundry Day, Ostend Beach and Thé Dansant.

With productions and remixes on labels like Atmosphere Records, Ein2, Karera, Love Matters and Shaker Plates, Nico Morano is working hard in the studio to continue creating the deep and melodic sound he’s so passionate about.

AfrikaBurn.. and playing Friday Night on The Spirit Train. What a amazing and honourable experience this was!! The Spirit Train took a year off in 2018 so I only heard stories about it. From the stories I understood that it was an incredible art project and mindblowing stage with an enormous energy that can be felt all over the Tankwa desert. I never even thought that I would have the chance to play on it.. 

That was until early 2019 when @michel-piccaya approached me and asked if I wanted to contribute with my music. I was surprised and honoured and put a lot of time and concentration in preparation of my gig. I played my first gig on the train on Monday night and was overwhelmed by the crowd. I was told though that this was just a warm up and Friday night would be way bigger. 

Well they were right. 

All the lights, lasers, flamethrowers were up and running, my dear friends Vincent Freebird Lauenstein and Diana Frankovic did video mapping on the train and the playa was completely filled with people. I had never played for so many thousands of people and for such an energetic crowd. It was so much fun, as was the rest of AfrikaBurn. Building Ubuhlanti stage and camp and playing at lots of other amazing camps. Connecting with so many people, playing B2B with @powlina, @joep-mencke, @vander_music and @deep_schismic ... but this gig on Friday was my personal highlight and that is why I share it with you dear friends. I feel so thankful for all the support and the chance to play on these amazing places.

Und auch diesmal ist mir erst heute Morgen so richtig bewusst geworden das das mal wieder passt wie die Faust aufs Auge. Es gibt wohl keine DJ / Künstler der mich in den letzten Jahren musikalisch überzeugt, bereichert, geprägt, begleitet, verzaubert, beeinflusst hat. Die Rede ist von einem meiner besten Freunde ARKADIUSZ. Und dass er nun die 113 in meiner Herzens-Reihe ist … ist bestimmt kein Zufall.

For most people, by far the most memorable activity from their school years is the customary foreign trip in the final year of senior high school, which feels more like some kind of pilgrimage or rite of passage.  In Belgium this trip is generally a tour of Italy or England.  But this is the story of a truly extraordinary school trip, to a country which doesn’t exist anymore, visiting cities which have by now changed beyond recognition.  This is part 1 of the story of a visit to a lost world… East-Germany before the Wall came down.

‘Before that school trip to the German Democratic Republic, I had absolutely no idea what to expect.  In those Cold War days Europe was sharply divided in 2 blocks, with capitalist democracies in the West and communist regimes in the East.  These were two completely separate parallel worlds and in the West we didn’t really know how life was like on the other side of the ‘Iron Curtain’.  We never saw TV programs or listened to music from the so-called ‘Eastern Block’.  The only time we got a glimpse of that hidden world on TV was during sports events, like athletics or swimming.  The - mostly female - athletes never smiled and won nearly all the events… and we all sensed they systematically used performance-enhancing drugs, so we all hated them.  
All these countries were repressive dictatorships which did not tolerate any dissent and tried to brainwash the population continuously, while most essential goods were scarce and many people tried to flee to the West… which was almost impossible since the communist regimes constructed an almost impenetrable fence over the full length of the border, with the Berlin Wall being the most famous section of this ‘iron curtain’.  In the TV news there were regularly reports of people being shot and killed by the border troops when trying to flee to the West.  
And it was towards this very border that I was heading together with my schoolmates.  It was a pleasant (but long) bus ride over the state-of-the-art highways of West-Germany all the way to one of the rare German-German border crossings, named Wartha-Herleshausen.  The mood in the bus changed gradually as we came closer to the Iron Curtain, and we were all curious (and a bit tense) to see the heavily fortified border, which included an electrified barbed-wire fence surrounded by land mine fields and guard towers.  And that’s the place where the bus (carrying 60 Belgian school girls) ground to a halt on that cold April day in the year 1987.  We knew that the border controls were notoriously strict, but it would even be worse than expected… (more details in the next episode).
The passage of the border would be the distinctly uncomfortable start of what would become an intense and unforgettable ‘rollercoaster of emotions’ tour around that parallel universe on the other side of the iron curtain… spreading peace & love from West to East and back…’

Hallo liebe Liebenden,

ein neuer Podcast steht für euch bereit.
In dieser Woche an den Decks, Hrrsn (Harrison) aus dem Hause Stil vor Talent.
Der aus Mönchengladbach stammende Wahlberliner ist wohl das, was man weitläufig als musikalisches Multitalent bezeichnet. 
So ist Hrrsn nur eines seiner Pseudonyme, unter denen er veröffentlicht. 
Der Produzent, Komponist und Sänger liebt es auf seine Produktionen zu singen, so ist er mit einem Zweitprojekt namens Tender Games bei Suol unter Vertrag und tourte schon bei Fritz Kalkbrenner im Vorprogramm mit.
In einem Gespräch mit uns sagte er, dass die nächsten Veröffentlichungen anstehen, darunter eine erneute Ep auf Stil vor Talent und eine Ep zusammen mit der wundervollen Bebetta.  
Wir sind darauf natürlich sehr gespannt und werden bis dahin, voller Vorfreude, seinen Beitrag zur Zug der Liebe Mixtape Reihe genießen.

I think that the mixes must carry more feeling and that not everything is so mechanical, the mixes must have life and feeling always for me, can be melancholic and even if they are a bit dark, but never too much 🎇
